Damn, you didn't waste any time before getting into that bike! My girlfriend is trying to get her father to bring her dirt bike to a wedding we are attending in May. I'll have to show her the little hitch trailer. It would work on her xterra or the cruiser for the times I want the bed of my truck. Also a lot smaller than a trailer.

Yea they work great. Make sure you have a wobble stop so it doesn't wobble all over the place in the receiver. Curt makes a good one that goes in the hitch and you bolt thru it. 12$.

Nice yea dirt bikes are good fun. Had to get the once over out of the way and some things fixed. They're so easy to work on compared to trucks

Right?? It's stupid easy to work on compared to trucks. Can literally change out brake pads in like 30 seconds. Wheel bearings took a whole 30 min. I love it!

I love my truck on two track but I think the dirt scooter takes the cake for smiles per miles of two track.

Quite a bit more going on with the bike than the truck these days. Got the carb running perfect the other day and as luck would have it once the bike was running perfect i got a wierd vibe. Pretty sure it's the flywheel weight but wanted to pull the top end and check the crank and piston connecting rod bearings. Both of which were super tight so it's not the important parts... Two strokes are so easy to work on. Also re-set the powervalve Z distance while the jug was out since it was a bit short, ~1mm.

Owners manual will help you alot. Has base jet setups for your bike and elevation/temp where you are. I've used my owners manual a ton since i got the bike.

Rad! I can imagine how much fun these would be on the street with some Street tires! Mine is off road only. I'm too big of a wuss to trust other drivers on the road to go thru the hassle of reg.

Street legal 2 stroke? I feel like that wouldn't be enjoyable at all riding on the road...

I need to get an owner's manual then lol. It's not getting street tires, just DOT knobbies.
I live in a small town, it mostly is just to braap from work and from trail to trail (i.e. forest service roads) Timmy is never going on the freeway lol

Yeah cause with my cr125 it wont just cruise down the road, its either go or no go lol. Is that kinda normal for 2 strokes? Like I cant just keep it at one speed.

No, mine holds a speed just fine. I have a nice new FMF Gnarly pipe which provides a much nicer powerband, I also have a true enduro bike (XC-W) so I have a wide ratio transmission. Cruises at 50 in 6th gear with the 48t at a very nice RPM

Yea i can cruise at 50 mph with 14/50 sproks in 5th at about 4k rpm which isnt that bad for a 2t. Those smaller displacement bikes can be like an on off switch from what i gather so it's not hard to believe @gray223 I've got a video from this weekend uploading at the moment.

Thats what i figured, they don't have enough power or low end to keep things smooth unless your in the power band which is when the motor is practically screaming. Its either no power or it wants to wheelie.... I'm gonna need a lot of practice.

It could also be I just don't know how to ride it yet..

Haha you and me both, I've got a lot of seat time to get better on the power and balance.
