So, went to the gun store today to check out some pistols. I narrowed my choice pretty much down to these 2: Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm and the Springfield Armory XD 9mm Service Model (both 4" barrels).
I went to look at the XD and Glock 17. I did not like the glock at all, it didn't fit my hand at all and felt very awkward. I really liked both the XD and M&P. Though, I don't really know anything about the M&Ps caused I hadn't researched it at all.
So, if anyone can help with some pro's and con's of each from owner's of these guns that would be greatly appreciated. The guy behind the counter was not an XD fan at all, but he admited "i don't drive a chevy either, just not a fan. there's nothing wrong with em, just to each his own". But he seemed to really like the M&P.

S&W is a wheel gun Co. XDM is a sweet gun. And is too has the interchangeable palm swells like the M&P does. XDM FTWFW.

    DO IT NOW! :D

And Yes, 100%. It is undeniable.

I had an XD Sub, wound up trading it in for a Glock. The first time my buddy shot it, he didn't fully depress the grip "safety" and the gun wouldn't shoot. If I get in a life or death scenario, and can't grip that "safety" all the way, I'm fucked. A matter of personal preference though.

I am not saying the S&W isn't good.
