I love the Raptors. Had three of them. Amazing trucks and if u don't pay full pop incredible resale value. I paid $50k for my 2013 supercrew loaded and traded it in used with 30k miles for $49,500. And the dealer sold it for $53k used. But they def aren't as reliable as Tacos. I wouldn't own one out of warranty. As far as the the taco models I'm gonna do a limited and throw a long travel kit, rims tires, prerunner bumper and some light bars and it will still run way cheaper than my raptor. Only bummer is the anemic engines. But I'm giving the giant trucks a break for awhile. FB_IMG_1461660264299.jpg

    None needed.
You’re ether a liar, or you own a 1977 Toyota pick-up with 675,000 miles that’s been towed three times for flat tires.

Love the cement color. I almost bought a cement FJ several years ago.

As for the Pro, guessing the 45K price is about right. My 15 Pro was almost $40K. I'm not a big fan of the wheels either and the badges are a bit much. Like the interior though.

I'll stick with my white '15 but if I was in the market, I would be tempted.

I have the 2016 TRD Sport, beautiful truck but I regret not getting the Pro, it has many options that doesn't come in the Sport!

Sorry, you are correct, I just saw the Cement Gray and associated it with the Exterior Color. I really haven't paid much attention to the 3rd Generation Tacoma, although the TRD Pro has piqued my interest. Ironically I'm a mall crawler.

Truck Looks Great. My questions are. Will This 2017 TACOMA FRAME IMMEDIATELY BEGIN TO RUST OUT FROM UNDERNEATH IT like all the others? AND will toyota DENY the problem until they address the problem by having dealers confiscate the truck, replace the frame and inflict THOUSANDS of dollars of consumer pain while backing the botched dealer job.

You drove a pro? That's pretty cool since they aren't out yet. My guess is that you meant that you drove an offroad?

Edit. unless you drove a 2nd gen TRD Pro?

Accessory skid plate, Firestone air bags to level the truck (raised rear 1/2"), future mods - Truxedo LO Pro QT, Katzkin leather seats (Ice grey factory clone), Michelin LTX M&S highway tires (275/70r16 or 265/75r16)
I've got a 2015 Pro. I almost bought the Inferno, but chickened out at the last minute and got the black. All my trucks since '85 have been black so this one just fell into line. It's a DCSB. And like Highwhey said in post
#66, it's hard to keep clean. Just sitting in the garage, it gets dusty. I use the California duster on it every
time I drive it. Every couple of weeks, I use the McQuire's kwik wax with a microfiber cloth. Fast and easy.
The mods I've done so far are the accessory skid plate, door sill protection that wraps over the sides and is
patterned to like the tops of the bed sides, H9s for the fog light bulbs, Truxedo LoPro QT, and Firestone air
bags to raise the back 5/8" so the truck would sit level. The back is now just a tad higher than the front.
It took ne 7 hrs to install the driver's side air bag on one day, and 3 hrs to do the passenger side the next day.
I'm 74 years old and half the time was spent getting up and down from the garage floor. I ached for 3 days after. I've done this stuff all my life, but buying a TRD OffRoad and doing all the Pro stuff is just too much for me now. I'll buy what I can from the factory.

The 2017 Pro has some nice stuff in it, but I am satisfied with my 2015. Well, mostly satisfied. The next
mod will be the Katzkins leather with heaters in stock factory ice grey. I want it to look like the Limited seating.
Haven't decided on whether to get the solid or perforated center section. Any ideas? I think the 2015 had the
solid center section but the 2016 / 2017 has the perforated. After that, the tires will get changed out. Yes,
the BFG KOs in Load Range D are great offroad tires. Excellent quality. But this truck is a street queen and
I may go with Michelin Defender LTX M&S 265/75r16. For my driving, the LRD tires are hard riding, and at 49# each, don't help the fuel economy. Some will say why do you have an off road truck when it's a street queen? And I will say for the same reason that someone has a Z06 Vette and doesn't race it on the race track. I guess I like driving vehicles that are uncommon. I do take it offroad, but mainly through the fields and
vehicle paths in wet wooded areas. Stocking pheasants in the fall for the club. So it only gets a few miles each year offroad. It's had one winter up here in RI, but has not been driven in any salt on the road. For
the oil changes, the dealer was going to use conventional oil so I bought my own Pennzoil Platinum Syn and
he used that. He did use an oil filter that was taller than what I have used in past years on other trucks.

Oh yes, I paid $38,700 for it. It was about $1,300 under sticker. It came with the bad mat and the good trailer hitch. The one with the HD battery and the engine oil cooler. Think it's a $650 option. Sound
system is OK. I wish everyone good luck with their 2017s. There are always a few things that a person can do to improve them and make them personal.

I doubt 3rd gen Pro will be anywhere near 2nd Gen Pro's $37,800.

The paint job is not worthy of this vehicle. Sneeze on it and it scuffs and scratches... My husband drives a '02 black Avalanche and his paint looks better than mine.
