Whalen storage racks from Costco. Racks are in my garage. My total distance to load and unload is 3-5' :D

Except the propane, that's stored outside in the back yard. :)

I'd die if it was any harder. :D

I've felt your pain. A lifetime ago I had a short career as a relocation specialist. I hated to find out that the worksite had one or more long carries. The worst was a condo complex that was 7 long carries away from the truck. Work up to 14 hours a day moving shit. Pianos, double wide fridges, double recliners, sofas, 80lb dish packs, book cartons. Flights of stairs sucked massively. F*** that! I did learna lot about how pack well, and move efficiently as possible. Two wheeled dolly is my friend, as is 4-wheeled dolly., and fridge dolly. What a circus that was. :)

What rec site was this at Mat? I saw your post on BC Toyota 4WD too.

I got away for one night this weekend as well. I went back up to Jones Lake.

I sleep in the back of my truck. The weather wasn't very nice to us either but sometimes the rain makes things interesting. Setup for me is pretty fast too. Just have to setup my pop up canopy, unload my gear under it and just roll out the bed. Besides drying out my easy up top and a tarp or two its really nice coming home and not having to dry out a wet and dirty ground tent.

I think one of the hardest things to do is organizing and storing your gear properly so that when you do go on trips everything is ready to go and it isn't so difficult and a burden to load the truck and go. This is something that I have been working on over the years and constantly perfecting. One thing that needs a major overhaul is my kitchen/cooking gear storage. My current kitchen bag is falling apart and none of the zippers work anymore. I've been looking at the Dewalt TSTAK Storage system. I really like how you can mix and match different pieces together to make something that suits your needs.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXm2uqkAtKE

Has anyone used this storage system? Looks like it will do the trick but I've yet to check it out in person.

Hey guys, I am having a hard time deciding on tires that will be best for overlanding. This will be my daily driver but plan on using it a lot for overland trips. Do i need a E rated tire? Will C be enough? Stay away from P rated? I have a bed rack with RTT and gear. Plan on a Boss lift with Dakars in the rear. Options are super slim for C rated tires. Is there any benefit to a skinny 255 compared to a 275 or 285? HELP PLEASE!!

Those look pretty good too. But one thing I really like about the Dewalt TSTAK is that they offer two with drawers which I think is perfect for organizing utensils and other cooking tools.

I hope they rebuild that section, or do a reroute. The washout is pictured below.

The rain came a few days after our group passed through... From the pics I saw and NPS description, IMO, a Tacoma could probably navigate the washed out section without any major drama. Like any trail obstacle though, it is not without risk... as the terrain is off camber and it tilts your rig towards the chasm. You can kind of see it in the tracks behind @CVYota 's rig...

I didn't feel at all nervous on that section. Pending what the rain did I think it'll be fine, but it's always a good idea to proceed carefully.
