i thought the whole point of the 2wd locker was to get you out of sand..... lol..... vid proves otherwise...

Pretty much. 4wd is still going to work a hell of a lot better for slipper boat ramps or snow/ice conditions.

Didn't know that about the 16's stickers. Learnded something new today. I wonder if that dude used the locker on the 4wd. Either way, in many instances where one of the tires on a 4wd loses traction, it becomes as useless as a 2wd. In those tests conducted, all four tires were planted, therefore - yes - a 4wd is going to win out. I'm used to off roading where tires don't exactly stay firmly planted on the ground.

yea after getting stuck and really dropping the psi in the tires. thought for sure he was doomed on how far down his tires went into the sand.... an idiot like me would just keep flooring it until the entire truck buried itself. haha

Yeah, taking air out of the tires is key.

I'm sure there has been. I'm just going off my personal experiences with Jeeps. In 4wd, once a tire came off the ground (or the spring pressure was released), it didn't matter that it was in 4wd, all power went to the free spinning wheel. Again, just my own experiences. I'm just another asshole on the webs with an opinion.

I was called out by the bf saying I'm taking pics of ALL tacos lol not just modified ones  he makes a good point tho - not everyone whom owns one is an enthusiast o_O but, most of the time, I'm not quick enough to snap a pic while oogling

I'm guilty of spotting and either not posting or taking pictures. I'm too slow with my phone to take pictures, then I get side tracked and completely forget about seeing a Tacoma.

There totally are. I can't drive a mile without seeing at least one. Usually stock and/or a service vehicle though.

If I see a Tacoma even 1 sticker I'm going out of my way to say wazzup.

Have to walk across the parking lot arms out for a bro hug? Done.
Change across 3 lanes without a blinker just to get close enough to throw a  You bet.

    just kidding.

That looks like a truck that lives over by my house. A better pic would have helped me confirm it. I will try and get a pic to cross reference later.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
There's a speedway blue Xrunner who's been working next to the office I'm in.

I can nearly guarantee the fella doesn't speak an ounce of English.
