Totally planning to attend. :) Spent a LOT of money in preparation for this trip.
    (ARB Lockers & 4.56 Gears)

Will be my first trip. Getting nervous about breaking something. :( Probably all those YouTube videos of Jeeps rolling over I've been watching for fun.

Cool. My mom is coming with us this year and she wanted a place outside town but not camping. She got a nice-looking vacation home that is 5min from BFE. Hope that means I get to spend a bit more time with the TW peeps and still go back to a nice bed after partying.

Sweet! There are some cool town homes around Moab for sure. It's nice having a fluffy bed at the end of the day haha. I think we're staying in the Motel 8 this year if I recall.

luckily moab has such a large variety of trail selections, you can go as easy or as hard as you want.

there's plenty of trails that can keep you busy for weeks without having to really stress about breaking something...

as you get more comfortable, take on a harder trail...or kick back on the easier trails and enjoy what they have to offer

for a list of trail options check out the post on the main thread, Rock Therapy 2016 - Official Thread

<3 will be easier trails...the 4-5 range will have some fun obstacles to keep you on your toes while 5+ will usually require larger tires, armor and lockers depending on how high you go...

Also, you'll be surprised just How little you'll NEED your lockers in Moab. it's like driving on 60 grit sand paper, traction for days. I think I only used my locker on one obstacle, and honestly that was more due to my inexperience, not because of need.

It will be my first trip too. This truck is my DD and I am going to be cautious in trying not to break something. But I know a few experienced guys I can trust to help through the tuff stuff. So listening and getting advice from them should help out a lot. I'm still responsible for my driving but I'm great full for the guys willing the spot you through when you need it. Try not to be so nervous and enjoy the trip.

I've had all 4 tires planted with both diffs locked and sat there and spun tires but then again the rear was doing a 6 foot climb strait up.

if you're doing an obstacle like that, chances are, you don't need pointers on when to use a locker ;)

still kinda regret not doing a front ARB on my truck, but 21" of rear wheel travel and 16" up front kinda helps. my bald ass tires on the other hand :anonymous:

So I'm planning on doing the drive from Austin with a buddy or two, this is IFS friendly, yeh? I've been wheeling for years, consider myself experienced, but don't want to be running my 31" MTRs with IFS trying to hang with y'all SASd folk in a place I haven't been before.

Moving these to a new page

we do request the camping spots before the ravine and immediately after stay vacant for organizers and sponsors. see the map below, the black circle. red circle is typically where we put the toilets. green circle by the entrance where the dumpsters usually are.

if you setup early and are in these locations, you will be asked to move...

    also a couple other notes...

DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS/PLANTS
DO NOT PARK IN THE TREE LINE

we will make rounds while we're out there to make sure everyone is in a good position. we need to respect this land as it is not ours and need to keep this area open for years to come.

we will try to get some organizers there as soon as we can during the week to assist you in finding a proper camping spots if you are unsure.

here's a video on how to get to Area BFE and take note at 0:56 to 1:00 this area will be utilized by organizers and sponsors...the area to the right at 1:00 will also be used...that is the black circle on the map above. the main camping will be straight ahead, all the way to the trees at 1:00 all the way to 1:15 is all valid camping...as you get closer to that back hill, do not drive on trees, shrubs, grass, anything living..
