    I ran mine without the A-pillar bracket for a couple years with no problems. When I put the heavier/bulkier Enginaire pre-filter on I could see the snorkel moving around quite a bit at highway speed, especially behind a big truck. I took the original bracket and did some bending on it to get it to conform to the snorkel mounting point and the A-pillar (19mm impact socket and the vice worked well) and used the 3M weatherproof heavy duty 2 sided tape. It's been on there for well over a year and it's rock solid.
