Do you have them on DR? Wire brush those puppies and quick coat of some rattle can and really will help with the sale!

 

Man I'm going to stay leaf sprung for a while. I can't say no to affordable suspension.

Fuck you four-wheel-drive guys! You can stick your dirty Axel's up your ass! I've been fighting pulling the CV off of the stock axle shaft for like 2 hours now.

Really? Shouldn't be too hard. Did you get the retaining clip off? It's kinda hidden

 

The inside was easy, it's the outside that I've been fighting.

 

I pay a local guy that rebuilds axles for a living to pull the cv's and reinstall them with new boots on the longer axles for me. Usually costs me like $150 for the pair. Time is money, so for me that's money well spent

 

Fuck. That. Holy shit, I'm in the wrong business.

 

So if I was originally 2wd and now in 4wd do I still have to stick it up my ass?

I just fixed a truck that the previous shop reused the original boots and were leaking, so for me it's cheap insurance, plus I don't make my living off fab work, just some spare change, I can't afford to spend 2+ hours on one cv, that's time that could generate me a lot more than what I pay the axle guy.

 

I still want to be able to get this bastard apart before breaking down and taking it somewhere.
