Okay guys got a product question for you. I'm almost done with my syntha-6 protein and am looking to get something different. Any suggestions. Do I get an isolated whey? You tell me

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey. It's been rated the top protein supplement of the year by bb.com customers/employees for 10 years straight. That should be all the reason in the world...also, it tastes great and has never come up in any of the protein spiking scandals like MP and other companies have.

Isolate's main benefit is that it digests faster, & it's got less lactose, fat, carbs, calories, and cholesterol, which isn't really that big of a deal, IMO. Isolate may help of you're intolerant to any of the above, but that and the faster digestion rate are really the only benefits. ON standard whey is already really low in everything but protein, so jumping up to an isolate product will only hurt your wallet b/c isolate is expensive AF.

Did you take 60-70% of your 7rm ? by the sounds of it you didnt. You shouldn't have to, and if you are :
your muscle conditioning isn't close to what it should be. This is exactly why we do this phase, its not supposed to be easy, your supposed to fight with it ESPECIALLY your last 5 sets.

Good job for trying, don't be discouraged. IF your unable to do 60-70% of a 7rm try going to 50% and i bet you this. After a couple of sessions you will be at 60-70%

Well it has more protein per scoop than my last protein and more scoops in a 5 lb container than my last protein. Seems like a win win

I've never had protein farts like some people talk about. I use Whey Tech which is the Vitamin Shoppe house brand...

I do get burp-y from my pre workout sometimes. Usually if I take it too close to when I actually start lifting, especially if it has anything to do with cardio that day...and by cardio I obv mean curls...

I like ON. I've been on the Pro Jym train for my last 3 tubs, though. I like it. Tastes good, and has other proteins in it besides whey (casein, egg).

Anyone else get the muscle box?? I love when I get mine! Some months are better than others - different themes too :) Usually get a shirt, and a booklet with workout/ meal plans, other info. Then from there it varies- shakers, supps, protein bars/chips, accessories. Here was this months :)

My buddy started a company that does a monthly box for sportsmen (hunting, fishing, ect). He keeps pushing me to start a fitness one and I was doing some research on the ones currently out there. It seems they mostly send snacks. Cool this one sends a shirt. I was thinking it should have some sort of clothing, a snack, and something to use in the gym (like straps, bands, or some sort of gym gear (not drugs))...I don't think I am devoted enough to start a business though :anonymous:

Yeah - the monthly box idea is a neat one. I've eaten/used most of what has been sent. one month I got a set of lifting straps - I don't really use those but I have them in my gym bag in case I want to :) I'm sure it would take up a lot of time and require a lot of organization to have a company like this - but i'm sure you could do it if you wanted :)

He just started his last April, he is about a year in. I think he shipped his first box in August. Has already grown to over 2000 monthly subscribers. He did it out of his house until December when he started using a distribution center. I've helped him a lot with it and have a basic understanding of what I would need to do to get one going. I'd rather just open a gym though. Any excuse to just lift more

His box is The Sportsman Box. I know some folks in here hunt/fish...Check it out, I get them and love the stuff that comes in it.
