I go out to garage this morning to put the trash out and I hear something making a noise. Sounds like a small electric motor or something. I'm looking all around and find the noise coming from the truck. Sounds like from the fuel tank as if the fuel pump is running. I go grab the fob and start the truck up and let it run for a minute and shut it off. Haven't heard it since. Less than 4k miles on the truck so far.

    Reserected from the dead.
Normal. Just a vacuum pump pulling fumes from intake to charcoal canister to be burnt the next time you run the truck.

It would be super helpful in answering the next question that would be answered by reading the manual, and the next question after that, too.

Buy a new BluRay? Sure.. manual doesn't need to be read. Straight forward, right?

$40k vehicle with modern electronics and emissions systems? Maybe spending 45 minutes before bed would help understand more than "turn the key and drive."

Teach a man to fish, bud.

Your right. I'll have to go through it. Too much electronics on new vehicles to keep up with.

I love people who criticize other people for asking for help on a dedicated Tacoma forum.

Sensitive Sally, please note that telling someone to read the manual for their vehicle full of complex electronics and emissions equipment is not criticizing.

You can help someone by wiping their nose, or you can hand them a tissue.

You do you. Let others do themselves.

LOL This is mild compared to some motorcycle forums I'm on. I've seen grown men cry on a couple of them. LOL

Well not exactly, it's more akin to asking someone how to wipe your nose properly and they tell you to read the nose wiping book instead of them showing you how. His question was answered after the first post, he'll never have to ask it again.

I have no interest in reading the whole owner's manual, if I want to know how to do something I'll look it up or ask here. That's what those resources are for.

For many vehicles aren't the passion they are for some. It's a vehicle that get you from A-B, they buy new so it's under warranty and there's, hopefully, less to worry about.

You're being critical for someone for being them. Ironic, no?

So glad the OP has a set of man bags and understands.

No need to address the others who want to be upset.

Welcome to TW, OP. Lots of good info here, and in the manual. ;)

Little tree air fresheners. Clazzio black leather seat covers.
Thought the manual was just so you'd have something to take up space in the glove box?
Apparently fourms now days aren't for asking questions... I know I'd rather just grab my phone and search for something rather then go out to my truck and get the manual and aimlessly look through it for an answer the has a chance of not being in there.
