So I started going over the little Yamaha 80 I bought to see what kind of maintenance it required. Air filter on order! I don't think this thing has ever been serviced!

Depends on the helmet, you'll have to look up the different shells. Higher end brands sell replacement cheek pads in different sizes to accommodate that. How old is the helmet? They break in almost a full size

i couldn't find your specific helmet but it looks like scorpion on other ones cuts their shell sizes off between medium and large. so medium cheek pads in your helmet are actually thinner than what you have, since you are running a larger shell. good news is that it's not very old, and not very expensive. you may be able to recoup most of your money and buy another one one size down for only a little more.

if they fit your head i'd recommend looking at agv k5's. it's similar price range and lighter so you'll get less neck fatigue

I'm gonna contact them and double check with them before I get another helmet. That would be a bummer if I have to get another one already :( It fit so well the first month.

Ended up getting really lucky with it. Got 2 regular washers to put behind the crush washer to space it back, the middle threads are fine but the top threads are crap. Now it grabs good and so far it isn't leaking. In the span of 2 hours it has weeped a little onto the bolt but never dripped. Good enough for me lol. Ill just keep an eye on the oil level.

Ended up with a gmax 76x helmet and a cheap pair of msr goggles. Excited to give them a try in the woods.. P.s. I'm actually enjoying dirt riding the better I get :anonymous:

I know mine needs upgraded for sure but it seems to do alright with how it's setup. I'd rather have it tighter for street riding

Wish we could bike swap, you'd love thrashing mine in the dirt and i'd love being on less than two wheels on yours

Which master link style does everyone prefer?

I don't really care for the new style only because i can't take the chain off myself, but since i'm not likely to be swapping wheels or sprockets regularly, its not a big deal.

Are the new crush (rivet) style that much more reliable?

Snap links I think are just fine for anything under 750 CC, at least according to the chain I got.

Negative. I like mine enough in the dirt and have a lot of fun on a wheel in the street. Waiting for some videos/pictures to come
Ive only ran stock rivets. The grom I am running a clip style but it's such a small bike it won't ever matter

Im getting mine setup for Baja type riding, which makes road riding so much more predicable and fun. My corner entry and exit has increased due to increase in stability

Had a shifting issue, was afraid it was the clutch, turned out to be a simple shifter linkage issue. In the shop for almost a week, had them do new tires while it was in. So glad to have her back.
