I didn't measure before and after the 5100s but the truck is visually perfectly level now - just what I wanted.

These wheels are 17x9 and that extra width really makes the tires look wider (and forced me to trim the air dam). The camera angle might make them look wider than they do in person as well. I had these wheels/tires on my 2nd gen for about 6 months before buying my 3rd Gen and the dimensions were virtually identical to the worn BFG KO 285s on 7 inch OEM rims (w/ Spidertrax spacers) they replaced. Here are a few pictures that show the tires a little better:

You had to take the entire front bumper off just for the new grill, ?

Yes they do raise the rear up 1/2 - 5/8 of an inch. Unlike the bump stops that have a gap, the sumos rest on the frame or I should say the frame rest on the Sumos. image.jpg

If there's a thread for this, please direct me there...

Lift kit thingys. (Or is it leveling? See, I don't know!) I need to learn the 101 basics.

I have: DC SB OR 4x4
Vertical Wheel well gap between tire and trim in rear is approx 7". Front is approx 6".

What I want to achieve: uniform gap in both front and rear.

What do I need? Where do I need to go? Rough cost estimate? Can I do it myself? Special tools?
(Or send me to the appropriate thread please!)

I should add, that the glass type antennas work real good when properly installed.
I will edit my post to reflect a couple install tips.
First, it doesn’t work well if installed over tinted glass specially metallic tint.
My tint is ceramic, but I had the tint shop cut and re-install that section. I believe most pro shops in my area use ceramic because of all the new gadgets with gps ppl use now.
Second, you need to use locktight on the outside antenna fastener, so that it doesn’t work itself out with the wind.
    Cheers!

I went with the 4' Wilson flex and I'll probably mount it on the bed rail.

Is it easy to identify which end is negative and which end is positive? Both on the LED, and in the some light housing itself.

My goal also. I put blistein 5100 shocks on all for corners but to raise just the front you could just replace the front struts with blistein 5100 and set them to .85. The struts run around $80 each and for those of us that don't have a proper spring compressor and strong mechanical skill, I would recommend have a proffessional do it as it could be dangerous. It wouldnt be a bad idea to get an alignment done after the install just to make sure it's all lined up nice. I am in the NE and it was $300 to have all four shocks installed and the alignment. Read the threads about "5100 .85" and the toytec "what you need to know about lifting a 2016 Tacoma". Put blistein 5100 in the search and you will get opinions buy others that have done this. I am very happy with my choice. I like the ride and it leveled out my sport like I wanted.

Extremely easy. I'll post some pics of the process. Just start at the top corner and use your thumbnail to start a piece that you can grab onto. I also felt it was easier to have the window down and the door open to remove pressure from the seals. As far as residue, I just went over the area with some Turtle Wax liquid carnauba wax and it cleaned up quick. Probably didn't even need it; I just didn't want to see any "lines" between the paint that has been weathered vs the paint underneath the vinyl. Now it's flawless.

Don't sweat it. There won't be much residue if any at all and if there is, you can literally roll it off with your finger. Did the same with mine with no problems.
