What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Hmm, I am not getting any rub on my truck with the BFG KO2's 265/70/R17's installed, even at full lock out and on the trail. Perhaps your tires need to be centred in the wheel wells? Or perhaps I am getting a tiny bit of run and haven;t noticed it yet? I'll have to pay more attention when driving to make sure.

 

My guess would be 265/70/17 BFG KO2's load range C

 

How is the fit and finish? Instruction clear and mounting solid?

I just got it earlier today. I was swamped with work this past week and wasn't on the forum at all this past week.

How was that trail run? We made it a pretty decent ways back on the trail today but spent some time clearing downed trees and moving some boulders that slide down and blocked a few sections. We we're definitely the first ones up there in a while from the looks of it.

 

Fit and finish is absolutely flawless. Seriously, I've installed a lot of different grille's and this has to be the cleanest install. Went in in about 10 minutes and the instructions are very clear with step by step detailed photos. What I like is that it does away with the factory outer bezel, which makes for a clean and seamless install. I'll try and get some more detailed photos tomorrow.

It was a good time. Took us a while to find it. We did some exploring on all the little trails that branch off.

Picked up a set of Bushwacker pocket style flares for the TAC-TOY. All I can say is, wow! I'm a big fan.

I love seeing the light bar mods. I have always been a bit of a flashlight-aholic so to me this is like a giant 12v flashlight on wheels! Haha but it's a great thing for that dark highway beyond the streetlights. Haven't seen any flickering or dimming on other lights while using the light bar though. I would at least report what is happening to the installer because you might have a loose connection, or faulty switch / relay. I find electrical faults get worse so it might be a good idea to resolve it before the warranty is over with.

 

Did you purchase the 05-15 tacoma OME lift kit? I can't find any OME kits specifically for the 2016.

Yes you are correct. No lift. No rubbing.

 

Any report on dyno numbers on air filter mod? I am about to fall off the edge of my seat.

 

I didn't notice any markings on the bulbs, but then I also didn't intentionally look for them. Basically if I plug it in, try and nothing happened, I'd reverse it and it works.

 

Is that a 3D or 4D light bar?

 

Here's my prediction to you , when you get your Sumo springs. I bet after installing them & riding around a few day, you decide to leave them in!!!! The more I ride around the more the truck feels like It should have felt all along. I just can't say enough good things about them. No more getting thrown around the cab when going over train tracks or heavy bumps.
( I would go ahead and use blue Loctite and call it a day, You can always take them back off with blue)
