    Borderbrat , Sonjay ,

Thanks for your input , I am on the fence about removing a leaf from the Dakar pack as I usually ( 80 % of the time ) have a tool chest with all of my assorted work junk in it , probably averages 300 lbs . Would like the truck to raise it's stance evenly and retain it's current "stock" rake with the tool box in , but not look ridiculously ass-high when it is out .

Borderbrat , just so I'm clear , your front end is lifted 2.5"? Just trying to imagine what the front end would look like at 1.75 " from your pics ( very helpful ) .

Well , I think that decides it then . With my loaded toolbox and roof rack on I will probably have the rake your post lift pic has , plus a greater load capacity .

Looks like I have a call to make to Santa

Even if you removed the 1 leaf, it would still ride higher then stock with your tool box in there. I have a snugtop canopy which I guess weighs about 150-200lbs, its all me and my dad can do to get it on the truck, it hardly changes the ride height on or off and thats with the full dakar spring pack.

Sonjay , you have the full Dakar pack and a doublecab ? Just wondering what your ride height measurements are , if you have a chance to throw a tape on your rear height it would be like an early christmas prezzy .

Factory TRD wheels, powdercoated black with FJ Cruiser TrailTeams centers.Very durable finish,no chipping or pitting.

Thanks OZ.....The cap is a Leer 100R.$1350 base price,$100 for front slider,$100 for headliner,$250 for the Thule Tracker II system from Leer.I think my 5th leaf was $250 installed but it gave me the height and additional carrying capacity I wanted.

Will do man! I might even get a pic for you to see. I still have some rake on my truck, the back end is noticeably higher then the front with the dakars.

Another option for you may be to get a custom leaf pack for the rear of your truck made up, depending on the weight you are planning to carry. Deaver and Alcan are some options to look into.

One thing I would caution - if you lift the rear to much, you will get vibrations in your driveline. I only lifted my rear 1.5" and I have a very light vibration from about 5-10 mph. However, if you lift it more then that, the vibrations will be worse and they will be difficult, if not impossible to eliminate. Just something to also consider.

    Hi all,

Read the strings re: 2007 Taco 4x4 double cab, short box ride height but still haven't seen what it "should be" stock and how to measure it.
When I measure from floor to center of fender flair I get 37" on both rear sides with having installed and extra leaf to cure spring sag. I believe this has changed the pinion angle and is causing not-so-good vibrations. Did all the other checks for bad vibes and all check out ok.

So, the question is, can anyone tell me what the stock ride height should be for this truck & the proper way to measure it ?

    Thanks so much
