I'm right there with ya, all of a sudden, the trail has gone cold for both the Aired guy & the K&N guy responding.

Probably black for now. The sides are going to get skinned to save it from getting scratched up. I was thinking of dip for the flares so when they get wadded up I can redo whenever they get too bad.
I'll post a pic of the rears this weekend. The fronts are going to take some time to match the bumper an I have some clearance issues so may have to do some cutting on the fender.

I'll give them a call and report the issue and see what they say, this way at least i reported it before it "might" get worse.

Now.... Y'all can't talk about these lights without mentioning which is your favorite, and which do you keep in the truck?

I keep a Fenix PD35 with 3400mah battery in the truck or close by when in the woods. A great light IMO, had it about 2 years now without any issues, and still using the same battery from day one.. but i don't have huge amounts of flashlight knowledge....

But i have also been looking hard at the nitecore MH20. Like the usb option, would make it easy to charge and i could likely mount it inside the center console on the lid.... But my allowance for the next few months have already been spent LOL

I was hoping to see your install before I do mine this weekend.
Closeup of your cut by the front bumper maybe?
    Just looking for ideas.

So, unfortunately they weren't able to share with me actual numbers. Evidently they don't like to publish that info until the product is released. I've still got the prototype on my truck doing a little long term testing.

Anyhow, sorry guys. I wish I could share more. I'd imagine that the guy with the K&N is in the same boat since K&N owns airaid

Are you losing sleep over all of this?!?! LOL I probably will leave them in all of the time, I just want the option of taking them out when I go 'froadin and such. Otherwise, I never know day to day if I'll be hauling a load that day or not with my work etc. I really don't notice any rear sway like your talking, but maybe it did with the stock shocks. I installed the lift and shocks at 158 miles, so I never really got used to the way the truck drove and handled. Hell, I'm still not really used to it as I've barely over 1100 miles on it now. I have so many other vehicles at my disposal because I have a dealer's license and try to put the miles on my used cars/trucks when I have them to keep the miles down on my personal vehicles, so this truck may not be truly broke in this year; We'll see how the summer goes.

Any issues with the tape sticking? Cant decide between Avs or weathertech, which is completely compression fit.

    Thanks

Ah, don't worry about all the sh!t talkers, most of us who've been on here enough know what you're all about. How are you liking the truck so far with all of the gear on it and such? Still thinking of doing a gear swap when gears are available? I'm doing mine as soon as I find a wrecked truck w/4.30's.

Yes. There is not a kit yet for the 16's. Those of us that used the OME kit have used the 05-15 kit.

No, not losing sleep, LOL. Just giving you a heads up in case you were wanting to manufacture an elaborate disconnect system for it.
This is my third sport, so I have felt that sways back-and-forth going over railroad tracks since 05

No, I like the unscrew method if that works. Seems simple enough.

Anyone have a picture of their drivers floorboard with the weather tech mats installed? I am curios as to how high they come up near the right side of the accelerator.

I have the factory all weather mats and they don't cover much of the inboard side of the foot well. I am finding it difficult to keep the carpet clean near the accelerator pedal. Thinking about masking off the area in question and spraying it with bed liner to make it easier to clean up if I get mud/grease on the carpet there. I am a dragline mechanic for a living and grease and mud on my boots after work is a common issue. You walk within boom point radius of a dragline and you get grease on you.

Not sure, I haven't pulled the trigger on these yet, but I have heard that it sticks pretty well!

Trying to decide if they are worth the cost. I have a gallon of left over Linex that I got for my crawler I could mix up a small batch of and spray it over a patch of the carpet there if they don't cover enough. Did the entire carpet of one of my other truck because a vinyl floor liner was not offered for it worked out well but takes patience to get it right.

TAC-TOY dude.... I agree. Keep posting. Your build is "bad ass" and this is from a 65 year old conservative (when it comes to mods) Tacoma fan. I am a designer and like very much the boldness of your mod/composition. The wrap, color scheme, well the whole damn effort has yielded awesome results. Keep it up and thanks for the inspiration!
