Back in the day I had a 1984 Z28 Camaro parked sideways in the back of dad's big 40x60 garage. It was all the way against the back wall furthest from the door, under a cover. My mom somehow, backed up 50 feet further than she usually does into the garage and smashed into the side of the Camaro. Bad enough that her car had 4k worth of damage, and my Camaro was totaled. I was upset, but it was my mom, she wasn't hurt, and well, the insurance paid for it all. That was nearly 20 years ago. I still tease her about it.

Then back when I was into really into cars, I had 3 different cars I was working on at the same time. I had my brand new car parked in the driveway. I was working on the two older cars in the garage, I needed to swap one over to the lift. So I backed the car off the lift, started backing out of the garage, I slammed on the brakes, looked back and I was less than 1/2" from the front bumper of the car I had parked in the driveway.

I was sick! But it was about the same situation as you. Normally a car isn't parked there, and I just didn't look.

That's awful! Gotta love a Camaro though!

It was a nice car. That was in 1998 I had just gotten my license and my grandpa bought me that car as a present. It was mint through and through. Had around 38k miles on it. The guy bought it brand new in 1984 and only drove it in the summer on rain free days. He claimed the wipers had never been across the windshield.

I wish I still had it. My grandpa passed away in 2002. Would of been a nice thing to still have.
