Dude. My dad's house in Havasu is unreal. We go out on the boat and at 80 mph in the summer it feels like going through a blowdryer.

So as far as housing, Boulder is cheaper than Denver correct?

If you're basing location solely on price, you'll be in for a surprise. Boulder and Denver are two completely different worlds in my opinion

    Stuff and junk and things...

If you move to phoenix it gets a little warm during the summer. 3 months of hell and 9 months of spring.

If I ever move back it will be to Prescott or Flagstaff areas.

Aren't those two locations? Or do you mean where within those cities?
I'm basing my location options based on where my company has an office. I don't have a choice other than those two cities.
Damn. did not know that. Thanks

if you are basing on boulder or denver only then you actually have a ton of choices in-between and in surrounding area's, if your office is in "The Peoples Republic" of boulder then you should probably live North of Denver and maybe stay east of boulder, plenty of towns to look at.

When you say you need to be close to a big city what is a long commute for you now or how long would you want to be in traffic?

My commute to work in LA is 35 minutes if I leave at 5 am and go to the gym before work. It's about an hour and 45 minutes if I leave after 5:30 and sit in traffic. Anything shorter please.

That is easily done then, Littleton, parts of Aurora, Longmont, Birghton, Parker, possibly Conifer, Lakewood just to name some of the areas you can check out that are relatively closeish to Denver and Boulder for that commute

Very rich areas. Kind of the "I'm above you" type. Just not my kind of folks.

Commutes are pretty quick as long as there are...
    No accidents
    no road construction
    it's not rush hour
you don't have to be anywhere at any particular time
    not snowing
    not raining
    no sun glare...
but other than that they are fairly quick and painless.
