16 Tacoma with 34" tires and 3" lift

You think there will be any rubbing in the front? Are you planning on cutting anything?

 

The tire place I got them from said there actually a true 33x10.5 but the calculator shows it to be just over 35" but when you measure them there right at 33"x10.5. Not sure how it works but it does.

Yea that's a great example of why it's important to look at manufacturer specs/measurements and not just accept that size rating. Many tires run smaller or larger than what you would expect by just looking at the 275/85r17 type rating. In my experience for some reason Japanese tires seem to run more narrow/smaller, e.g. a Nitto 295 may be as wide as a Goodyear 275. Then you have stuff like sidewall lugs that don't factor into tread width and can increase the overall width of a tire, so something like a Duratrac may give clearance issues where a same "size" Wrangler Adventurer fit fine.

 

Alright guys I was able to finish up the front yesterday. No rubbing so far even at full lock. I tried reversing down hill at full lock also and did not rub. I also did not adjust the front coils yet, I want to give the truck some time to settle. The true test will be once I get this thing offroad. The kings and ko2's combine for a super smooth ride. I plan to make a build page soon after a couple more mods. I will report back with more results.

Thats great to hear because I need those in my life! They're the perfect size and you don't have to deal with all of the extra crap of running a 35.

I know they look perfect on the truck, but they're really expensive.

 

35's look awesome. I had some on my FJ but they are ALOT of work, especially if you plan to wheel. And without a re-gear you lose a ton of power. I haven't noticed any power loss with these 34's and the steering responsiveness has been great since it is a narrow 34

It's trucks like yours that is making me rethink my color choice. Thought I had it narrowed down to silver or blue, but God that white is sexy with the TRD wheels.

 

I was set on getting a sandstorm but after seeing a couple modded 16's in white I changed my mind. Another reason is white hides pin stripes better than a lot of other colors.

 

Are you sure you are running 275 85 17, i can even find a tire that is that size?

 

Makes me rethink my current subtle 265/75's and Bilstein 5100's. Do i need it, no. Do I want it, YES! Sick set up and great work

 

Love those wheels. Seems like everyone has them now though lol. How do you like them?

 

@Ray SD dude will I be able to stuff those 34s under with just a eibach pro kit coil over or the OLd Man coiloveras?? They lift about 2.5-3 inches.. I run a trd pro I’m just getting rid of the fox trd’s because of the lack of lift I can do to fit bigger tires and people are wondering why I got a pro,the Black Friday sale had the pro the same price as the OR and I got no finance with the deal pro so why wouldn’t I get a pro!? the info would be much appreciated thanks brotha and if you can tell me the tire metric sizes it be nice those tires are clean and bot tooo beefy does you have to do a cmc??
