If you get a stick shift transfer case from an FJ/T4R then you'll only need to wire the front differential actuator. It's fairly straight forward. I'll find all the info for it and post it here at some point. I would get too hung up on this part. If you can get through everything else, the wiring will be pretty easy.

    What's up
Just going to watch and see how it goes. I might do this one day far in the future once the truck is paid for.

Seems pretty easy, just time consuming. I know a guy that has the tools i need and a powerful flow jack he once used for dropping transmission

I did it in 2 stages:

    1. Transmission swap, transfer case and drive shaft install in one weekend.

    2. Front diff, axles, hubs, other misc in another weekend

You can drive your truck in between stages. Worked about well.

can poke around in my build thread too...I converted my 07 with all stock parts from a donor and did all the wiring.

its best if you can find a donor to pull the 4wd ecu and if you're luck enough, rip apart the main harness for the t-case wiring and front diff wiring.

fj t-case is the plan for the future, but its totally do-able. just need the wiring diagrams for each and compare the wire pin-outs. I just had to move a couple of wires around and add in the 4wd wires.

best part about converting an off-road package, I can turn on the rear diff anytime...as the 4wd ecu has a rear diff controller as well, but has more rules on when you can turn it on...I think 4-lo.

I spent $1500 on the parts, and maybe another 600 on driveshaft lengthening and other misc stuff.

you can use the 2wd trans, but you need the inchworm trans adapter and cut off a section of the output shaft...or use a 4wd trans. have to modify the trans crossmember as the frame brackets on 2wd are higher on the frame...which is nice, as that means you have more ground clearance under the truck.

    exhaust y-pipe re-route is recommended.
