IF I am not mistaken, the 885 is more than sufficient for a steel, after market bumper. 886 if you're doing a winch and 884 (I think) if you're keeping the stock bumper. Someone chime in if you disagree but this info comes from Slee Off Road in Golden, CO who doesn't touch anything that isn't a Toyota Overland build. Im being totally serious about that too haha.

Wait a month, there will be hundreds of stock springs available once this group buy is over.

I don't know how the 3rd gen is heavier on the front end than the 2nd gen. The 2GR-FKS is smaller and has more plastic than the 1GR-FE. Also the front end of the 3rd gen has much more plastic than the 2nd gen.

The 3rd Gen is 5,600 lbs the 2nd is 5,400 lbs DCSB. The extra weight comes from the larger Differential, 1 extra leaf in the rear leaf pack and extra steel towards the back of the frame.

I think its safe to say that they are near identical weights in the front if not less in the 3rd gen Tacoma.

I think you misread what Low Range was saying....they're saying that 3rd Gen IS HEAVIER by 200lbs, but not necessarily in the front. That extra might be distributed elsewhere....unless I misread it as well...

Trucks don't sit level from the factory as I am sure you know.... The rear end is always higher for towing squat

But even if you lift said vehicle it is still going to sit the exact same way it did before just x inches taller in front and rear... Will still have the rear rake

    2012 Tacoma 5500 lbs

    https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=2016 tacoma gvwr

    2016 Tacoma 5600 lbs

This makes sense with the larger Diff and extra leaf. At Rock Therapy they said more steel on the frame to prevent bending between the cab and the bed. I also notice that the rear tail gate has more steel then the 2nd gen.

3rd Gen rear bumpers are fully plastic now. 2nd Gen have steel.

3rd Gen is 1 inch wider on both sides of the fender on the rear and the front so they could weigh a little more but the fender flares are smaller than the 2nd gen.

3rd Gen has thicker wind windshield

I talked to the Suspension Engineer from Toyota at Rock Therapy last year. He was on the team that engineered the new Tacoma. He said the springs are the same. The strut is what changed. He said that they have a internal bump and refined valving. I cross referenced the Springs with Toyota and the part numbers are the same as the 2012-2015 Tacoma.

We lifted a 2016 and we noticed the fenders have about 1 inch more room than the 2nd gen above the tire.

The over all length of the strut was slightly taller than the 2nd gen.

I would like to see them on a scale. Would be interesting. Maybe you are correct with it being almost 350 lbs. I don't own one. haha

I think you're just being very informative from what you have been hearing. Very appreciative of your input. You think I should just get 886 coils to achieve a true 2" lift or above?

I have a 2016 TRD Sport 4x4 AT. What will the 886 coils give you lift wise? 2 or 3"? And what about ride quality

I think I have to change my order to 886 coil then from what your saying. I want to achieve that height in lift and will be going off road once or twice a month. Too busy to go out more

    To come.
@ramonortiz55 - Please pull me out of the alternates list. I found a local vendor and decided to buy locally because I need the stuff sooner.

Congrats on the group buy. This is one of the most successful ones I've ever seen.
