Real talk though no one is going to help you if you automatically assume we will. Hosting mod days or helping someone who isn't experienced with a lift is something all db's will do for a new guy who needs it and asks nicely for it. You shouldn't assume we all
Will take our time to do your shit for you just because you have a lot of shit to get done. Our time, our equipment is also precious too so don't assume we will just "throw a mod day" just because you have a fuck ton to get done in a weekend.

So you been in the coast guard for a few months (of which a few were basic trajning) and you are already certified?

And AGAIN, I believe is cam tabs and cam bolts, not "cam tab bolts"

Huntderr, there are more than enough threads and videos on this site alone, not even counting the rest of the Internet, on how to do what you want to do. It doesn't matter if your a car mechanic, boat mechanic, lawnmower mechanic what ever. You remove bolts/nuts/clips remove old part, install new part, install bolts/nuts/clips. It literally takes 4 hours to do a lift on these trucks using just hand tools. You have all that experience with your uncles corvette and you know all these people with all this and all that. You should have the baddest Tacoma on the east coast by now :notsure:

Wasn't really assuming anyone would help.

Clearly alot has changed with the group here since I left. Gotten pretty cliquey and im out of the clique now.

I have my own tools and my own place and a garage to do everything in now. But I wouldn't ask someone to travel to me to give me a hand with things since it doesn't benefit them and my place is not the best for a mod day since the driveway Has a good bit of incline.

The only part I actually need help with is swapping the LCAs and UCAs and probably getting the LCAs off.

My parts have not come in yet nor have they even shipped so I haven't even tried to ask anyone anything except Ant.

And these are just the recent times I've seen it. Don't get me wrong I know I have relied on Ant a lot lately to get my shit done but I also don't assume he will host something or will even get it done for me if his schedule's packed. No one here is clicky, we all help each other out on and off the trail. But we also don't make assumptions that someone is going to help fix our shit whenever we need. I take on all my projects/mods doing it myself 100% and if I can't do it myself I am at the mercy of the other party and make sure I do my best to compensate them for their time and materials. I also bust my ass as hard as I can the entire time we are working on said project because I know their time is as precious as mine. Plus that's how you learn.

You are talking to someone in the field of physical labor. I know what time is money means. Maybe the way I said it was wrong but Its not like I had intentions of pulling up and getting the parts out and watching someone else do the work... Itd be more like me doing it and when I run into a snag ask someone... Id just rather it be at a mod day... This way if shit doesn't go right we have some man power to get it done...

Not sure yet... I really like this design but the cut on the second barrel would be extremely difficult. image.jpg

More than likely I'll be making a copy of what my parents have now.

If you want a 2 barrel build, you can make something like this:

    c75fc99fb7ce1fa233bc9630825a909e_d33916a29b762b6fa5e57cb76231dc232f8f70a6.jpg

And that cut wouldn't be that hard if you do it little by little, just more time consuming....
    awesome house warming present btw

I'm thinking he doesn't need the double barrel, but I don't really want to ask him. I was gonna make it a surprise. Maybe I should just tell him and see what he would want.

He's moving out of an apartment complex that didn't allow grills so I thought it would be a pretty sweet gift.
