Would it help pull any heat from the hub/bearings on long drives to fill with fluid?

Thanks that's my buddies big old hobby Lincoln rig. Not sure what it is. Think a 210. I had it running way hotter than recommended to burn into that 3/8 and 1/4. I normally on s daily basis run a millermatic 252

I literally took a Toyota fill plug, cut off the threads, drilled a hole in the center and plug welded the hole shut so it looks like a functioning plug. It's only there for looks. Fluid would be useless as it would only get the back side of the machined spindle. Wouldn't do much I don't think. This trailer will probably see more weight than what it weighs itself. The first one I build went from my shop back to Alabama.. About a 5.5 hour ride. 350 miles. He said it didn't get hot at all so I don't see it being necessary to be able to put fluid in it

Nice welds and tie downs ... looks over-designed ... and I like an over-designed piece of equipment.

Anybody ever build a 55gallon drum smoker? Thinking about building one for a house warming gift for a buddy. I obviously will be getting a brand new drum for safety, but anybody have any insight on steps that should be taken for not poisening food with fab work?

Figure this will be the place to ask,

Should I order weld on clevis mounts or weld through? I'm looking at comp4x4 for anyone wondering.

These are going to be for a rear bumper. So I'm assuming the weld through would be better and welding them to the frame plate is best?

It depends do you get stuck all the time ?? Like with the frame sitting in nice thick Mud with lots of suction ??

I Don`t really thing it matters you either pull the bumper off the truck or the back of the frame and the bumper off.

Over the years I have repaired a few of both failures

Most times if your really stuck the bumper is to high for attaching recovery goodies

It is really a personal choice

Ive been stuck a few times but mostly avoid mud holes. For now I've just been using my hitch mount dring. I suppose I could just keep using that as well instead of mounting clevis at all
