Funny, I plan on going with a Sport in about a year. The only part I am not fond of is the hood scoop. I thought I would ask the opposite of you. If you can wait a year I might have what you are looking for????

Thank you sir! I try to be as upfront and honest as possible. It sometimes can cost me a sale, but I sleep better at night knowing I haven't taken advantage of anyone.

I know it is spring but I am looking for a set of rims to put my winters on for this fall. Anyone in Canada get rid of the stock wheels and want to sell them? Either the stock alloys or steel would be fine. My truck is a TRD Sport so 17" rims would be best. Thanks for any help.

New member from London. Wonder how many Canadian owners have had good luck getting dealership to check AT fluid, grease fittings, etc as part of PDI due to the issues that have been raised?? My truck is currently in Toronto in the compound they tell me so hoping to get delivered to London sometime in the near future.. Thnx

Did they check those for you or have you just not had an issues with yours ? I talked to Competition Toyota about it and they said they would check those as part of PDI but I have also read some posts of people saying dealer said they would be never checked them ..? Dealer also told me the master Tech just bought a 16 Tacoma himself so I am hoping that means he will look at it a bit closer..

I got mine in December did a round trip from London to Calgary in January haven't had any issues. My fuel mileage didn't get better until around 8000km. I dealt with competition Toyota as well. Rick was my sales guy

I dealt with Rick as well, good guy to deal with. Well I know most likely there will be no issues, but Jenn has said they will check AT fluid and grease during PDI just to be sure so will see. Now just waiting for it to be released from Toronto... I leave for work for 3 weeks out west start of May so it may sit at the dealership until I get back if it does not get here soon....aagghhh

When did you hit 8000 km? I'm curious if the mileage improvement was due to warmer weather. That seems to be what happened with my Taco - it is capable of 11 or 12 L/100km, but only on the highway, at about 80-90 km/h, in warmer weather. If it is cold outside, or I'm driving in town, or faster than 100 km/h, the mileage is rather brutal.

I am at Mayfield Toyota here in Edmonton. To answer the question, this year yes only the 6' box. There are rumours that the new Limited model 2017 will come with a short box. We have also heard that we may be getting an off-road double cab for 2017 but no news on box size.

Anyone else have issues in Canada with getting their weathertech floormats/etc delivered in a timely fashion. I'm pushing two weeks tomorrow, and they shipped on the 14th of April or that is when I got the tracking number. Seems a bit excessive to ship Vancouver Island from Ontario, mind you it is Canada post, oh and no tracking number/etc. Apparently everything that went out of their warehouse on that day has an issue with Canada post and their shipping.

I'm thinking they just do not have the stock and are waiting on them to arrive.

The service manager at my dealer said the transmission fluid level couldn't be checked and to drive it like I stole it as it's under warranty. Since then I have greased my u joints and having a reputable shop check and document the transmission fluid level.

Not a good idea. Drive it through the break-in period as the manual suggests. "Drive it like you stole it" could lead to problems when your warranty is long gone. Break in period is for a reason or they wouldn't print it.

I pick up my 2016 TRD Sport tomorrow from the dealership. I asked them to check the u bolts, grease the u joints, and check the AT fluid level. They said they would take care of these things, but I'll find out for sure tomorrow.
