Ended up ordering a rivet style master link.

Going to put the chain and sprockets on this week and then next week i'll have the shop slap the new master link on when they do the brake lines.

I see. So you are saying they are maintained rodes? That make since. Yeah I guess you could do it on street tires. Probably have to be dry like you said.

I've just seen some videos of supermoto guys riding "off-road" and there just cruising on some pine needles and freaking out cause there on some damp grass and though it was funny. So yeah I'm making some assumptions. Guess I'll just have to believe when I see it someday. We all got our own opinion I guess.

And honestly if I were to have a more Street oriented bike it may be a supermoto just cause I like the way a dirt bike feels riding.... Idk still seem weird though lol

Not if you're a sumo. You'd have to lose a bunch of weight first, otherwise we wouldn't be able to see it. :notsure:

The adjust-ability of the stock suspension that came on my bike, compression only for the front and rebound/compression adjustment for the rear was fine when i started riding. But two years later i want to get the full use outta the suspension to fit me better and help my overall confidence playing on and off the road. I figured a killer off road setup would also be a killer street setup even though might get a tad rough, im good with that. I just love blasting down a dirt road going 50-60 in sixth gear and not feel any of the pot holes or bumps. Factory is ehhh ok but a bike setup just how you ride is sooooo much more fun.

It must be rainy wherever you guys are or something. Go ride some wheelies and get your knees in the breeze, you'll feel better.

Well, learned a lot about carburetors and bikes in general over the past couple days. Never messed with a carb before. But after a new plug, carb tear down, air filter, oil change, fresh gas, new fuel lines, drive chain adjustment and timing chain tensioner adjustment. I got to ride it today :D Didn't realize how much I missed riding my old pit bikes. This is a whole lot better though. Put a couple miles on it, runs really well for being a 98. Looking forward to some fun with this turd.

Supermoto can be fun offroad, just way more difficult in my area because literally every trail leads either to or from some nasty hillclimbs. To the point that i'd pretty much stay on the street if i still ran the deathwings or had street tires like Chris. He just needs to put those shinkos back on there and leave them there :p

Tomorrow I get my first day off in weeks that I could go riding without having massive amounts of studying to do and it's rain the next few days and rain this weekend. At least I rode to class earlier today. Gah!
