Ah haha gotcha. I noticed they were similar but I was searching for some post by David lol.

 

First time I've seen it, but it's a good looking truck. Personally, I think 35's just look to big for a 3" lift. They look disproportionate to the truck. I will be going a different direction.

I could do that. @justinalldredge19 and I were gonna do my rear end stuff, but I'm waiting on U-bolts so I think I may put that off for now. Is there anything else we need to go ahead and replace at the same time we do that bearing? I know Justin said get diff fluid.

 

You don't lose a whole lot of diff fluid, but you will lose some. I use Mobile 1 synthetic on mine. If you want to change it out, you should consider getting the crush washer. I have one at home where I plan to change mine out at some point.

I've never personally replaced my diff fluid and not sure if the previous owner did so since I'm at 116k miles I will go ahead and do it while it's "convenient." What is a crush washer?

 

Agreed 35s are too big, I more interested to see where you go with your. I like where its headed.

I see some don't replace the crush washers and never have any issues. Would the dealership just have these in stock?

 

They should, I might have a spare. If I remember right I got a hand full of them when I did mine.

 

Hm, so why do some people not replace them, but you guys do?

 

Prefer not to have a leak. Once you close it up, kinda hard to remove the plug and replace the washer without pouring all the oil out.

 

Guess I may try and run by the stealership tomorrow then, or maybe Saturday before we get together (if we do).

 

I'll just get the oil. I simply don't have enough time to look for the other part. I'm pulling a 14 hour day today, and the same for tomorrow.

 

If I get the time to run by and get them do you want me to get it for you too??
