Yes, but how shall they deal with bugs, oil, and rubber on the windscreen? I know, most other racing series find a way but it will be an insurmountable task for F1 teams. They don't have near enough money or brainpower to figure this out.

 

I still think the biggest issue is going to be rain / condensation and glare

 

How exactly is a wiper going to work on that curve ?

Tear offs could only come off at pit stops

With the visors the water beads run off the visor and the water doesn't get inside so you don't have an issue on the inner surface

 

You put some Aquapel on that son of a bitch and rain ain't staying on there. Even rubber at that angle won't really stick.

I'm not being negative , you asked me about my postion on the windscreen , those are the things I think could pose them problems with it , like I've always said , moisture and glare . Instead of the exterior surface of the visor taking the weather / lighting , you'll now have 3 surfaces of "glass" the driver is looking through so the potential is there for moisture or condensation and glare .

Looking at WEC cars the view from the cockpit can be pretty harsh. I imagine it being equally difficult in F1 if a wind screen is added along with some sort of halo design as well.

Maybe the aeroscreen just hasn't grown on me yet but I kinda think I like the look of the Halo better , especially the fact you can still tell what driver's helmet is in there which isn't obvious in this pic but I noticed it in the video I posted earlier
