I don't think I could trust those trucks as they sit, cos high mileage and no maintenance.

Get those things running! There needs to be at least 1 running 2nd gen on this thread.

So the wife has decided she liking the GX470 better. How much cross over is there between the t4r and 470?

Hoping by summer time I'll be able to start working on em. Realistically could start on em now, but I don't wanna burn myself out trying to do those plus the two engine rebuilds and the transmission rebuild going on right now. (97 4runner and 91 CRX being rebuilt right now, and a 90 Suburban trans.) I'm not too worried about getting the 2nd gen T4R project going immediately, cos my Tacoma is still going strong. Plus, it gives me some time to spend money on guns instead of truck parts! :D

Repost of an S2 Pro install on a customers 5th gen 4Runner.
    ________________________________________________________

"Seems many people have rear facing lights on their roof racks, which are great for lighting pretty much everything behind you... Unless you have the hatch open. To solve this, I installed a Baja Designs S2 Pro LED light in the driver side hand hold of the hatch. I will post a full install write up as soon as I can, but for now, here are some photos. The flood pattern works great, and the light output is ridiculously awesome. Just in time for camping this weekend

I almost traded my 4th gen in on one. Loved the power and comfort. We needed more room though. The 470 is a little thinner but definitely more height in the interior. They're great vehicles for sure.
