yeah it's a great deal... 20 years in the AF (like 15 in the real branches) and I still get the same retirement! LOL same to you.

in other words, "I needed more of that steel for my truck..."

LOL just kidding, sounds just fine. it was kind of what I was thinking of in the first place.

I was just wanting to go out to ride, no trails. But with the shocks not doing their job, the drive there and back is much rougher at certain speeds. And i don't want to end up wearing other stuff prematurely.

The nice thing about SOTG and force was our own operational guidelines, they didn't exactly comply with HQ but HQ didn't ask and didn't care as long as we were keeping our guys safe.

Ummm no. I don't need that steel. As a mater of fact whatever is left over you can take it out of my garage. I have enough scrap laying around. Yeah your first idea will work but instead of tube we will just use the angle.

Yeah it was definitely an entirely different operational ball game as opposed to being part of the regular fleet and all the bullshit they had to deal with.

yeah well... I fired 4 rounds, and had to... I SHIT YOU NOT... write a 10 page "Statement" of my entire day before, during, after the event accounting for all 24hrs... Literally had to write 0100- Sleeping in my bunk... 0200 hrs... sleeping in my bunk... 0230hrs I got up to take a piss... walked to latrine trailer via main path, 0235 returned to my tent via main path.... FOR EACH ROUND!

2 days later, walking home from our guard post, I found a bandoleer of 50 cal... 35 rounds... just laying on the side of the road... discarded by the Army.

    LOL... fucking Air Force

Anytime I am asked by a co-worker with kids thinking of going military, I tell them hands down the Chair Force. Unreal the world they have created after breaking out of the Army post WW2. Besides them in their own little huts everywhere I was deployed, yep we were in the mud in a tent, our guys had to double up in rooms on post and had a floor latrine. These guys got put into the NCO barracks getting both rooms with a connecting bath and still got a huge sub-standard housing allowance...

If you want to have a willing and able body after your military service, definitely Air Force. Their bases are generally in much better locations than any other branch, their living conditions are probably top tier compared to other services, and....well let's face it, it really isn't all that physically or mentally demanding. Now on the other hand...if you want to be able to put foot to ass, have a huge ego, and just generally want to be a bad ass mother fucker then the Marine Corps is where it's at, or for that matter any of the S.F. communities in either the Navy or Army (not to take anything away from P.J.'s).

Well, I got word that ARB is sending a new set to mi casa, so I'll just throw them in and tone it down offroad for now.

My Dewalt 20v impact gun arrived so when they do get swapped out, it'll happen much faster!

I was out running errands and started to feel a single slight thump through the pedal/firewall/steering when turning at low speeds which feels like a loose suspension component. Always something!!! :annoyed: So I'll need to go and do a little recon work at some point to make sure lugs are all tight and such.
