    Highlander,

My spare is a 265/70/17 on the TRD Sport rim, if you want to try that. Or, you can try my whole set of wheels if you want to test drive.

I meant the range trail, not where you shoot guns though...

Okay... so first thing is first, take off the wheel

    e312b7b894c69839aa3590f8a22f03e6_0fb6b30280bd050afdf13b6f61947f4358c20337.jpg

Next you're going to unbolt the ABS wiring harness on the upper control arm.. or in my case cut the zip ties

    32df2ea1a74520a0354a7ddcfd81e58c_98ce78607ef551ebf924974a2f3b9536e2a3114f.jpg

Next you're going to unbolt the harness from the back of the back of the spindle.

    460feb520195653f6294345008841225_9192dc07a2381c41fa279c88ca64dfafbd5f50c2.jpg

Bam. Once you unclip the ABS sensor and two little tiny push through clips.

    34149ca7d680a26351e2795f41f36b93_3e44258d74447b94c1da194b40a3b01e382e01a1.jpg

Take the cotter pin out of the castle nut, and toss a ratchet and a socket on it and break it loose.

    326d3aefdea8443c96bf0e3663661843_3fe23930c0de382ab972c3550b50859648ddce74.jpg

Next a ball joint press to push the ball joint out of the spindle.

    90d10542ad96dd387226a71cbe422d67_3a3d78c066bae9de2f7a4da5a97af2102676fc90.jpg

Next is the pivot bolt? It's a 19mil bolt and nut.

    667c993a4a6c3e3b278330ddbcf30806_ec99571091488c6b2a492ba9556e1673bdfcf684.jpg

It's real long.. so youll either have some fucking around to do around brake lines depending on which way it's going, or bend some of the sheet metal on the front. I've left my fenders bent a little to make it easy to get in and out. A long pry bar helps.

Then you drill out and tap that bolt you broke off replacing your ABS sensor last week.

Hope this helps Jordan. Send me a message if you have any questions

    This is excellent Mitch!

Jordan, this also pretty much leaves the strut free to detach. Bolt through the bottom of the shock and THREE 14mm nuts equally spaced at the top of the strut. I am sure you know not to remove the very top nut, but as this is an open forum I feel I must make it clear to any reader that you MUST NOT remove the top nut until the coil is compressed.

No for sure. You're looking for an accident then.

If you still have a sway bar you'll probably need to disconnect them to get the coil out.

On the plus side it might keep your spindle from falling over though!
