Yah, I'll reach out to Dan next week and see what he says.

I noticed very early on after car washes and stuff that rust was leaking out behind every letter. Assuming that's because the letters are spot welded on and then it's powder coated after as a single unit so it's bare metal between the letters and the grille. Didn't really bother me until it popped off, haha. Will update everyone with how it goes.

I've been concerned about the bare metal underneath the letters and possible rust drips from washing, but I haven't had any issues in 2 months. No rust drips visible on the 2nd gen version of the grill and possibly coated underneath the letters now.

Im really interested in the reaponse, because the shipping is crazy expensive and i just looked at mine very closely at the top and looks like there is something showing through. I am wondering if putting some paint all around the edges would help, but still hope this gets resolved. They seem like noce people, so im keeping positive.

I sent Dan a nice email explaining what happened and a picture. Dan responded almost immediately with a stand up answer:

    "Hey Kevin,
I'm really sad to hear this happen to you. I would like to send you a new grill. If you have time please call me. This is a really busy week for us here but I'll send you a new grill today. I just wanted to ask you a few questions, maybe it can help us improve our product.
    Dan"

I can't think of a better response. Really nice doing business with Dan and RAD. I'm sure with the powder coating, shipping, materials, labor and everything else on 2 grilles that he'll be in the red on me.

That's exactly how small business customer service should be! If I didn't already have a RAD grill on my truck, this alone would make me buy one.

So I had a really great phone conversation with Dan. He shipped me a new grille for free that same day, it shows up tomorrow. He said mine was one of the first 5 grilles ever made and they've made several adjustments since then to make them better. 1st was to the fit so that the bezel would cover the slots on the bottom better. 2nd was that they started using a high end special weldable galvanized paint between the letters and the grill. This prevents the rusting and drips that were happening on mine and the possibility of the letters popping off. I'm going to send my old one back to him for further analysis as well. Dan is super cool and dedicated to making his products better and better over time. Just wanted to update everyone. Will take a pic with the new one on this weekend.

I love this grill and my hubby got it for me for my birthday. I'm super stoked. I was thinking about doing vinyl on the letters and was wondering if anyone has done this? I just wanted to see how they went about it.

Got the new grille on in about 30 min or less. Fit and finish is nicer, slots on the bottom are hidden and it looks awesome. Thanks to Dan for standing behind his product. Love it.

Sorry if this has been asked one million times, but what is the price on the grill and skid plate? I'm super interested in it with white letters.

How do I go about ordering one of your grills? Do you have a website, link, or a contact? Thanks

Dan doesn't frequent this site too much, but the best way to get in touch with him is emailing him directly at racing@rad-industries.com. Put 2016 Tacoma Grill in the Subject line and he'll get back to you pretty quickly.

    Here's a link to their website http://www.rad-industries.com/ and phone number (949) 873-4195.

Man I love this skid. It's the only one on the market that covers the gap from the bumper to the front support, giving a nice finished look. I removed my front deflector but hated the unfinished look. Think I just found a solution.
