Hey guys. Im back for the time being. Ive been sitting here for 9 of my 12 hour shift. Not much going on in the data center tonight

 

Pretty quite night here in my plant.....almost as quite as TW.

 

Hi , All Off of nights till Wednesday.

 

I've been better. Called in sick. Sitting at home with a pinched SI. Trying to relax and stay on schedule, hoping it'll let go. It does feel much better than last night, but still pinches real good when I move a certain way.

Doing good Keeping the hospital going How about yourself?

 

Howdy night shift peeps! Was gonna chime in last night (morning?), but was waay lots tired.
First night back is always an ass kicker. The weather finally broke and it was damn nice outside and I just couldn't make myself lay down for a nap. Paid for that mistake in the early morning hours. I'm sure you all know what I mean.

Finished up our raised beds. The last 8 got filled on Friday. Hopefully the weather will allow us to get some seeds sown. These beds are going to make gardening so much more user friendly...and the rabbits won't be gnawing off the seedlings at ground level anymore. Years past, if we could make 50% of the plants make it to maturity, we were doing good.

I hope you don't mind me tossing up a few pics, the wife and I are quite proud of the raised beds we put together. I can't wait to toss up some pics of the plants

 

Doing good Rob lol been a busy weekend and it has carried over into Monday it seems. Got some news went Saturday and traded the taco in for a 2015 4Runner trail edition . I loved my taco but I'm telling u this 4Runner is awesome so farand I can't wait to start the mods and I will have pics soon been so busy this weekend haven't even had time to take any yet.

 

Question for everyone else? Why does it seem like night shift gets all the crappy work and always gets the blame?

 

Because typically night shift is the easy shift and management only works days, so anytime shit happens on nights, they come down hard because they weren't there during the day. Also, day shift likes to turn shit over to night shift on the basis of 'night shift doesn't do shit'. I've been on both sides of it, I work 4 days/4off/4 night/4 off rotation.

 

We get the work that can't be done during the day. I just make sure I'm reporting 7.5 hrs. or better per night, and going above and beyond with my work. Everywhere I've worked third shift, the newer guys are on third, and they're not there to explain (defend) there work if there is a question.

 

First time in a while coming into work during the daylight hours, have to come to class. Man, getting up at 1600 is a lot easier than 0500. I'm struggling.

 

...anyone else getting paid to be on tw?
