    I had a buddy knock out some new shift knobs for me. Can't wait to pick them up tonight and see how they fit.

    Hey Nathan, did you get a traction bar working with all that droop? I remember you planning on making your own but I went back a few pages and don't see how it turned out. I'm planning a 63 swap and thinking a traction bar will be a good addition too.

    So far so good with the new design. I haven't noticed any restriction on travel.

    She's still a mess, but I picked up the new shift knobs. I may need to do something about the transmission knob now. :)

    Mount it on the other side of the assembly & loctite the threads

    I've already done that. Love the flexibility of the Hurst shifter. What I meant to say is that I might need to design a new knob to match the others.

    I've got longer bolts with about 3/8 worth of washers in between the stick & assembly to move it more driver. :oops:

    Not to threadjack Nathan, but how is the hurst shifter? I've heard awesome things about them and its on my "really want to do" list, I just haven't gotten a real world opinion on it before.

    I really like it. The shifts are crisp and short. I did have to trim the console a bit to keep the stick from hitting, but the stock boot still fit and the cut isn't noticeable.

    I'm guessing its nice to have in traffic? I think I'm sold on it...might be able to swing it as an early Bday gift to myself. I have the URD short throw kit in now, but does basically nothing for me since its been in for so long.
