Bleeding is so much easier and my brakes are so hard, they are like one of those things that get hard when they get in that place that makes them super hard.[IMG] [IMG]

ooooooo i like the second one! Thats a nice design. I you could set it up to do the side lift still too possible.

Those actuators are huge though. Plus, i bet they aren't very...offroad proof...

But i like that scissor design.

I'm still searching for a more offroad proof one, Maybe someone on here knows of a better one but the idea looks good in the videos.

    Tailgate question

How much weight can it take? I have noticed posts about bent tailgates where someone had a bike wheel or something causing a dent.

The GF has a scooter, there are some occasions where it would be nice to pick here up. So will the weight of a scooter and the rider (140/150) be too much for the tailgate?

Can I make an acceptable ramp out of a couple 2x10/2 or 2x12 and brackets?

    http://www.amazon.com/InstaRamp-Ste...TF8&qid=1461944017&sr=8-3&keywords=steel+ramp

Or should I spring for steel ramps? I dont see myself loading more that a non-rider lawnmower and that scooter currently. Maybe a fridge with a dolly, but not motorcycles or heavy tractors.

How much weight could a 2x10/2x12 take in this role?

I made wooden ramps out of exactly what you posted. I load motorcycles no problem with them. Push mowers are no problem, never tried a rider. you should be totally fine loading a scooter.

Did you reinforce the tailgate for the cycle? Mangle it?

depends on what you're using it for... Aluminum would probably be fine for a scooter, but if I was hauling a heavy bike, or lots of heavy shit down bumpy roads, I'd go with the steel. granted the steel will make your TG weight quite a bit more

I didn't reinforce it or dent it. Granted they don't weigh a ton. I'm talking classic Honda trail bikes and the ST90

Edit: it's an old truck. I don't care if I dent the tailgate....it's a truck bed and it's made to use as such

How much does the scooter weigh? Should be able to pick it up with 2 people easy I would think.
