Fear The Walking Dead

So far the show is ok IMO. I understand it's a slow start, but hopefully it picks up. And my favorite characters for now are nick because he seems to be the smartest one, and victor strand, although he seems to be a dick, he's just trying to survive and seeing all the dangers. Chris would be my least favorite, but then again i guess it's because he just saw his mom die. Just my 2 cents on the show so far!

 

This show obviously has a lower per episode budget than TWD , but I like it

 

She looks like she's going to get revenge on the group

 

I just realized that the Asian girl is from the plane on the webisode

 

It makes me believe that she (Alex) is not all that much of a good person. I can understand killing the one guy that tried to kill the burned kid while he was sleeping, but all last guy did was talk about the possibility that they may have no choice, and that he's suffering anyway. Next thing we know, he's sucked up in the filtration systems.

She is killing to protect the burned kid, just because she feels guilty of taking his mother's stand by plane ticket. IMO, she is taking this too far and at the point of being completely irrational. Strand did the right thing cutting her loose.

 

But she'll be back...

 

The entire last episode was about that plane

 

and somehow she had knowledge of what happens to people that get bit / die before most anybody else

 

Will losing one window in a plane really cause it to lose control like that and crash? I can't see that happening at all and it seemed like the zombie threat was handled unless somehow the flight attendant turned and got loose, but the pilots are locked up.

Are we also assuming the plane on the beach is the same plane the asian woman was on? The webisodes made it seem like they were way out in the water and drifting for days, but that doesn't make sense since they were over land when it went out of control and they would have to overshoot LA from Phoenix by a lot to end up in water. No way a plane is breaking in two because of 1 broken window and being that separated apart. I know it's a TV show, but the logic doesn't line up at all.

 

I thought it was strange that they just disregarded all the time on Catalina with that family in the house. They didn't even show any of it in the "Previously" open scenes...

 

I haven't watched the plane webisodes but one window popping out will not allow air out of the cabin fast enough for explosive decompression of the lungs. So they could have survived that. I don't believe that losing one window would rip a plane in half unless it is an old plane that has extensive aluminum failure that has not been caught yet. And the pilots would not lose control of the plane due to one window popping out if the fuselage stayed intact. The auto pilot would catch any yaw or tilt and correct it easily. These plane crashes need to stop

 

That's because it was a filler episode. If it follows the same formula as TWD, every other episode is just filler. B roll stuff.

 

In regards to the webisodes. You'd be implying that the crash was right after we last saw them when the bullet knocks out a window and the breathers deploy. At that point the main zombie threat was killed, but the stewardist was still alive and had been bitten. She was just chilling by the bathroom when all hell broke lose. There were also a ton of people not in their seats when the plane lost control and they likely would've been flung around the cabin until they regained control. This could've led to more dead people. Dead people turn, and nobody in this show knows that yet, at least not in the plane (I think some did learn that when they were at the "hospital" last season)...needless to say, a number of things could've happened and plenty of distance traveled to get to how the Fear group came across that plane.

 

There are a whole lot of "what if", "maybes", "might have happened" that take place in these shows. They often leave it up to the viewer to fill in the blanks rather than spell it out for you. Anything and everything could have happened on and too that plane. They deliberately choose not to show what happened from the last known point of when the plane was in distress to when it crashed. I doubt what happened to it was even in the script. Leaving holes that can be filled in by the viewer is a "style" of the show.

 

Well, given what Game of Thrones brought to the table tonight I didn't have high hopes when I started Fear right after. I was pleasantly mistaken. Pretty good ep tonight. Loved the sharp shooter Nick brought back. Nick is still my favorite, his smarts of knowing to cloak himself and just how he carries himself, bouncing that bball like he didn't care what was going on. Good stuff...

 

Also - didn't see that plot twist on Strand's character coming...

Just watched it , good episode . I couldn't figure out wtf Nick was doing at the beginning , I was like " did I miss a week " haha

 

Overall good episode. Strand caught me off guard this week. Also I agree Nick has became the best character on the show! Alicia is still smoking also!

 

Alicia is going to be on Talking Dead next week.
