...but not as fun to drive! So here is my Quicksand TRD Sport 4x4 build thread.

Bought the truck to assist transporting materials to improve the house as they were destroying my cars and I swore to my wife I wouldn't mod it... That lasted only a few mins when I found this forum and saw some cool mods being done. What a terrible husband I am.



Its pretty cool to know that despite owning the vehicle less than a week, I have got nothing but compliments, especially over the color. Good job Toyota for making an awesome color. I leaned on it because it reminded me of the tactical vehicles I used to drive.

Coming from modding Audi's for many years and restoring old schools, I'm hoping I can make this truck into what I want with minimal complications . Its my first truck so don't be so harsh on some of the things I plan on doing but am welcome to criticism. Will update the the post frequently with new questions and stuff I have done.

Questions:
Anyone know the TRD Pro parts number for headlights and taillights? Just the housing with nothing included. I can only find it as a whole.

Cutting the bumper for the Insain Fab bumper, used the stencils like the instructions but it seems like it makes you cut off more than you need to. Going to find a new bumper from a part out and try again in the future. Doesn't look too bad I think though.

Ended up getting side swiped by a Honda... Took 2 months for the paint shop to color match.


After which I had the shop install my BAMF Raptor Style Grille.


Did have one problem that occurred about a month later. The body shop didn't adjust the bumper to fit the AC line in the designated groove and the bumper sawed through the AC line. Still need to fix it...


I installed Baja Fogs and my air system after words. No pictures on the air system yet but when I can get back under the truck I will take some and post them up.

Black Friday I was able to pick up ICON suspension for $1200 off market and a few days later I snagged a set of Konig Countersteers from a TW member. Sad part is they sat in my garage awaiting tires since I was spending all my money on guns because of California's new law that was coming into affect on Jan 1st.

I did pick up a set of Toyos on sale and installed the suspension. Fairly easy compared to a cars suspension. Pretty surprised.

Kid fell out of the truck this morning after getting donuts... Wife prompted me to get running boards. So I just ordered ICI Magnum RT Steps.
