First class of the day was cancelled. Decided to get flexy in the woods to kill the time until my next class. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

hey few questions to help you waste time between class, 1 do you get full use of that 12'' shock? and 2 with the 1.5'' shackle lift do you sit level or hot rod a little bit?... Thanks for your help I'm trying to decide if I should go this kind of set up or commit to a full 63 swap.

**edit - I want to know if you're getting full use of the 12 in shock because with the 63 swap you don't really get the full benefit of all that flex unless you put a 16 in shock through the bed and I'm not willing to do that quite yet :sawzall:

Home now, this was from this morning. And yes, I'm getting the full use of the shocks with where I mounted the lower mounts. I do sit rear high with the longer shackles, but they put me right at 50/50 up/down travel and helped with whoops and higher speed driving. Extremely happy with my setup. I'll do a revalve when the shocks need servicing, but down south motorsports did an awesome job with the initial Valving. Here's my stance as it sits. image.jpg

Hindsight, anything you would change or do differently? If you could do it over again.

Reply to your edit. I am running the bamf relocation kit, so that's how I'm getting the full use of the shock. And it doesn't go through the bed, which is why I went with that setup.
And knowing what I know now, I like the path that I'm on. I like the thought of going to bypasses in the rear and secondaries up front. But that goes more with the more I build it and drive it, the faster I want to go.

It's my dd and I'm happy with what I can do with it. Skids, a different rear bumper, and various gusseting are on my short list of future mods as soon as I get my fab tools out here.

Thank you. And yes, lower mounts are pretty much level with the axle

I have the similar setup with 5" shackles and I use all of my shock (except the slight buffer I left)
My leaf pack with the back retaining clip removed will droop out 12" exactly. Because I didnt want the shock to bottom out I put the clip back in and the leaf pack now runs out before the shock does at about 11.5ish.

Its a great setup and im glad i went this direction. I had to crank the fronts a bit to leave a little sting bug. Once I add more weight ill sit level.

Not supposed to use loctite on nylocks, degrades the nylon

Possibly over torqued or under torqued can cause this.

Don't know what to tell you, I have a torque wrench, I then used loctite on them and it worked. I could give two shits what you do with yours, just making a reccomendation that worked for me.
