    These are pretty but the clamp with no access to bolt when closed + gatekeeper over it + washer mod + popnlock + tonneau cover = tailgate not leaving the truck. The steering wheel lock + clutch pedal lock = truck not leaving. Anyone needing time enough to defeat all this = shot.

    My '82 was stolen once. Sucked. Got it back after a month. Vowed to never have this repeated if at all possible. I think I like the 08 even more than the 82..............

    Alright buddy, my tailgate got stolen this week, so I'm giving this a try along with getting a Pop and Lock lockable tailgate handle, and doing the washer mod. Hope these three combination will deter another douchebag thief from taking my tailgate again.

    No These only fit the 2005 thru 2015 Tacoma, Toyota redesigned the hinge on the 2016 Tacoma. Working to have a solution in the near future.
