I test drove one but ended up with the Taco, hard choice. Runner looks pretty sweet with some wheels and a little lift on them I'd have both if I could afford it!

I just got back from taking mine on a couple thousand mile road trip loop through the southwest, and I gotta say, I love the truck even more now. Had no issues and was solid as a rock.

It was funny, when I was staying in Durango CO, that place had to be the 3rd gen Taco capital of the world. They were EVERYWHERE. I saw more there per day than I do here in San Diego where it's a sea of Tacomas everywhere. haha

It happened to me once. Shop didn't torque wheel bolts enough. Don't rule out though, vehicle re-alignment, if it does it when you're braking.

No, I was told that you couldn't get them (an Off Road with a manual) in the states for emissions reasons. Now I'm kinda pissed! I wasn't dead set on either, but wanted the option and to at least drive one before I made my decision, but I'm kind of (depending on the day) wishing that I would have gotten a manual because I dislike the way the auto shifts, but it's settling down the more I drive it.

Mine is the TRD, not the OffRoad. I've also heard that the ACT button on the dash above the shifter, makes the Automatics more fun to drive :)

ECT and all it does is raise the shift points and lock the torque converter for towing. I use that occasionally but the more I drive it, the more the Adaptive Learning feature seems to be working. I'm just not privy to something that wants to try and "think" for me. I've got a wife for that shit!:ballchain::rofl:

I just received my maglight clamp mounts in the mail. I'll try to get them installed for my 3 cell D LED that I got at Home Depot for $11~. They are phasing out these lights for the new ones so they had a huge discount. It was marked down from $37 I think. Something to do this weekend I guess, but I think I'll switch out these screws for some good sheet metal screws.
