This trail system is brand new, so not much on it, but here's the description of the trail:

Website (this has updated since I first saw it, and has GPS tracks now to download)
    http://montrosecounty.maps.arcgis.c...x.html?appid=294f88f09b3c4002b4e9cd87511fe3b1

    Details:
    28-30 May
Meeting up in Montrose for Breakfast on the 28th

    What I do know:
-We want to start sometime Memorial Day weekend (exact dates will depend on who's going)
-It's 160 miles, most of which is dirt and new trail system so probably not going to have -much traffic.
-It's remote so we'll need to carry extra fuel/food
-We will arrive before Rock Therapy kicks off
    -Very little else

    Now... what I DON'T know:
-What to expect from the terrain (but I'm assuming it's going to be much like Kokopelli, a stock Tacoma should be fine)
-A shit ton of other stuff

Required items: (normal list for long off road trips)
-Recovery equipment (recovery straps, D-rings, a way to recover you forward/backwards)
-CB and or HAM radio (most of us will be running HAM I believe... I just need to pass my test lol)
    -Extra Fuel container
-Extra Water (5 Gal per day per person)
-Full Size spare (tire plug kit is recommended as well)
-Air Compressor (I'll have my 20gal CO2 tank if needed)
-Jack (that can actually lift your rig, if using the stock bottle jack then shit to stack under it)
-Camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, pillows, chairs, lights, rope, tarp, stakes, hammer, knife)
-firewood (thinking a bundle a person is plenty)
    -sunscreen,
-food and beverages for the trip (bring more to share if you want, but make sure to have enough for your party don't know what's available along the way, Montrose is a good sized town so you can stock up there if you want before we begin),
    -grill tarps, sunshades,
-tools, spare parts (if any), extra fluids (oil, tranny, steering, brake, etc), jack stands,
    -small fire extinguisher,
-map of the area and or GPS
...let me know what i missed and i'll add

Andy (@odomandr ) came up with the idea this into run into Rock Therapy this year and we've tried PM's but I don't trust the notifications on here (often I don't get them all), so I don't know that everyone was aware anyone had replied. Right now the group is pretty full, with the people we have interested, but let us know if you're interested, we may be able to add one or two, but don't want to get the group too big

    @3378jakesr5 @Lars @Husky Driver @teamhypoxia @CoBackCountry can you guys confirm you're still interested?

Better to ask what I have not done.
I am very much interested my two concerns are
    1. @WJeeper are you thinking your rig will make it through this and would you want to do this. @alee891 same goes for you. Do you want to do this?

    2. Brandon do you think an expo trailer will be able to be dragged through this?

I think Ben's biggest concern is gas. I'll be completely fine. @ebbs15 is it cool if we get in on this??

I honestly have NO idea if an expo trailer would be able to. @odomandr may know but if it's like the Kokopelli, then 99% of it would be no problem, only a hand full obstacles that would even require spotting. but looking at the way the Trail is, seems like there's quite a bit of alternate routes...

personally I kind of like not knowing "what's around the bend" I just hope it's not all shit my GF's Jeep Liberty could do lol

http://www.myxj.net/blog/the-official-grand-loop-4x4-trail-guide/ from what I have found. This is a new version of the old paradox trail that formed the grand loop when run with the kokopelli and tabeguache as this guy has notated and called it. I think it would be a lot of fun and from what I understand is similar to the kokopelli. With a lot more mud... trailer should not be an issue as far as obstacles go. I will be reaching out to a couple groups out of montrose and grand Junction as the date gets closer. My only concern at the moment is snow as it is continuing to fall. I know a group of snow mobiles ran it not long ago and I believe it is opening up there from the other things I've seen

I'm doing a different trail leading into Rock Therapy this year. I'm curious about this run, I didn't know they had opened it yet. Last year it was "in the works".

Does anyone have any requirements as far as Departure dates?

I'm off and had planned to be in Moab the 27-5th. Only stipulation for me is, I either have to depart the 28th, OR the 30th. My GF will be with me but has to work 31-3rd so she's gotta drive home. so if we left on the 28th, we'd put her truck in Moab and when we finished she'd drive home, or if we left on the 30th, she wouldn't come along.

So 28th Departure (finish by 30th, makes it really tight for my GF so I may have to haul ass to allow her to drive home in time... but allows other multi-day trails to be run before RT with plenty of time to spare)
    or
30th Departure? (finish by the 1st might be tight to run another multi-day trail before RT to make it by the Friday Dinner)

I'm honestly leaning towards the 30th, just because I hate being in a rush. but it would be nice to be remote during the memorial day crowds in Moab...

I'm still definitely interested. I wouldn't be able to depart until the 29th, picking up a body at DIA @ 0100. I will have 8 gallons of extra fuel.

Having gone 250k, Aug 2016 was the time to replace the original clutch & get the driver's seat rebuilt/stuffed. Front & back Weathertech liners. Tundra front disc brake swap. Full length Rocky Mountain Rack with 40" lightbar & alternating strobe rear dust lights. I used a warm weekend in March 2022 to finally install my brand new, from old stock, 2000 4Runner driver's seat. $800 directly from the factory in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
My schedule is open on the 28th through the 5th. I'll have 14 gal extra fuel but only 2 usable by anyone else. It looks like the Paradox Trail diverges from the Rimrocker in the vicinity of Nucla & heads off to the NW to link up to the Kokopelli. Rimrocker appears to go basically straight west & passes the main gate for Area-BFE on Pole Canyon Road.

Well looks like 30th is slowly becoming the only day that will work for me... GF may have to leave the 29th for Denver but she won't know until the week before.

Any issues with everyone camping just outside of Montrose CO and starting first thing the morning of 30th? Andy? I know you had some concerns... but I forget what they were.
