Makes sense but thats not entirely true, any and all suspension components will require maintenance if you want it to last. You still have to change ball joints, you'll still have to replace shocks instead of rebuilding them. I can see your side of it, and I don't entirely disagree with your thinking but basic maintenance on suspension is something that takes 5 minutes once a month and should be in your basic check list of things to look at anytime you take the truck in the dirt anyway
