This happened on my 06 and 12. Pretty sure it will be there on my 16 when I pick it up. It only seems to happen in very high cross winds. The wind comes through the weather stripping between the door. There is not a fix that I'm aware of. The dealer was not able to fix it on either of my previous trucks.

get a piece of small hose about 7/8's in diameter or smaller maybe and 8" long and insert it on back of the weather stripping on the door where it comes in contact with the "A" pillar...it'll push the weather strip up against the pillar and cure your noise. do it on both sides.

    Bone Stock.Why mess with perfection?Except...
What kind of material should the hose be made of?
Mine does it also. We almost never have wind blowing that hard here, so it hasn't bothered me enough to fix it.

One of the mechanic at the dealership said to add weathertech window deflectors will stop the noise. This truck don't even have 16000 on it is don't think I should spend a 100 bucks to fix it Toyota should fix it anybody have a opinion

this is not true for the cross wind noise.

rubber or hard plastic will work. i used rubber b/c sometimes hard plastic can collapse or break and will need to be replaced.

I didn't have the problem until I moved to North Dakota. My 2014 double cab began to whistle when traveling South so I tried the 3/8" drip line solution running it down the door seal. This did not solve the problem. After blocking off every crevice with weather strip I decided to lay a bead of black caulk between the windshield and frame from the hood to the roof. I could originally move a small portion of the seal on my windshield about a 1/16". The caulk laid from the base of the crevice to flush with the windshield seal prevents the seal from moving in a cross wind. $20 fix from Fleet Farm

I get a wind noise between the driver side door and cab right near the mirror. If I use my finger tips and pull on the door in the area the noise quietens. I have noticed in this area the door seal mold changes from being flat vertically to being flat horizontally. Right where it changes is an indentation which looks like air could get through. I saw the surgical tubing remedy and wondering do I need to run the tubing all the way from the top back of the door down to the first hinge or could I just put a one foot length where I hear the noise at?
