I can't say I ever really sit around considering or really caring too much about the Leafs needs. Find a goalie that is cheaper or get more than just a goalie in return is my gut feeling on it fwiw. Is Sparks not good enough?

I hear ya. Poor bastard always gets a rough ride, but your right, also always puts up points. Ironically, the expectations on him were always too high.

You may be hard pressed to find a franchise as in disarray as the Canucks were when that happened.

Not really, only a couple years behind the leafs. When they got Shanahan in 2014 it started and just kept drafting and keeping the players. Nylander, Brown, Johnson, lots of drafted, canucks just need to keep going. I know how you feel though, I wanted to rip someones face off when we didnt get Mcdavid. I bet next year the Canucks are close to 30th
