Absolutely. Don't feel like you have to defend yourself, a lot of people are going to behave in a negative manner towards your post because they are on this forum and a majority of people on this forum are Tacoma lovers. Not saying I'm not haha. Overall I appreciate your review, because no one advertisement is going to give you the good, the bad, and the ugly on a product.

I still think the trucks are SHARP AS HELL! I had compliment after compliment on mine! And like I said, if not for a couple issues I would still probably have it. Have a good day!

Yes I read your entire post. I get 20-21 mpg with my DCSB with a 2" lift and oversized tires. Sorry you don't get the mileage that you expect. For the record I didn't get that mileage until the weather warmed up above 50 degrees and I had over 5000 miles. I consider that normal. Yes there are issues with the power delivery with the 3.5 liter engine. That has been well documented and you should have known about that before you bought it (if you did any research). For me it isn't a huge issue as I don't tow and don't think this is as big of an issue as some are claiming it to be IMO.

As far as being "butt hurt" as you claim that must be your immature response when someone calls you out as a bitcher. You bitched about a truck that has been well documented to have HUNDREDS of the issues that you are bitching about only for you to buy it anyways? Sounds like you are the one that is "butt hurt" and want to deflect your poor choice to others. I guess when you tell corporate BULLSHIT and tell posters that comment on your bitch thread that they are "butt hurt" that shows your character.

I still don't know why you posted here to complain about your poor decision. If you are trying to detour someone from purchasing a Tacoma and to purchase a Ford I don't think you hit your mark. Enjoy your F150.

Agreed 100%. A half hour test drive, especially with a salesperson in the car with you, will not be effective.

Last 2 new vehicles I was involved in the purchase (one for wife, one for parents) - they had a 24 hour test drive. My suggestion to anyone else out there is to ask for this (or at least 6-8 hours).

If the dealership does not offer one (and assuming you are serious about purchasing a vehicle) - say you are visiting the dealership to make a final decision on buying a truck. Say you did a 24 hour test drive with the Nissan dealership (or Chevy/GM.....) last week and it's between that vehicle and a Tacoma for your final decision. See what the salesman says, if he does not offer a long test dive then ask for one as a requirement for making a final decision.

OK, I'll be THAT guy and attempt to help you out. The above post hurt my brain to read. Is this a Last-Day-Of-April-Fools joke? I am NOT hard core a grammar-Nazi, but you have absolutely NO punctuation from the beginning to the end. You posted around 500 words in a non-stop flurry. Really long sentences can be tiring and lack structure. Rather than just throw darts, I have provided links below that may assist you in forming better sentences:

It's amazing to me how may Tacoma Owners, who are having issues, are not complaining IMMEDIATELY to their dealerships and have the attitude of "oh well, maybe Toyota will fix it someday".

I read your entire post. People are keying in on the size issue because it was an absurd complaint. I'll touch on your other complains though...

The sluggishness unless the gas is hit hard...that is intentional as mileage was a big deal and will continue to be a big deal from now until vehicles aren't using gas anymore. Better get used to it. The power is there if you need it, but the truck emphasizes mileage when you don't. Again, this is a midsize truck with a v6. Not a full-size with a massive v8.

For your low gas mileage...going around town/city, I routinely get 20-23+, hitting lights red. Hell, yesterday coming home from Costco, I got around 24. Even when I was cruising around town while on vacation in high altitude in Utah and CO, I was still getting 20-23.

As for the buzzing, I can't really comment there as I'm not getting that.

Sometimes things don´t show up until several miles have been put on. The buzzing may not have been there on the test drive, plus when you have a salesman sitting next to you pushing buttons and talking the whole time its hard to hear any minor annoyances.
The MPG issue would not have been noticed on a test drive because you are not driving it like you do from day to day.
The power issue may have been felt, but the salesman will tell you that it gets better as it gets broken in, or who knows, he may have hit the ECT button while he was over there touching everything while you are trying to drive.
I had to tell my salesman on the test drive that I will pull over and kick him out and come back and get him when I am done if he don´t stop messing with the radio. I wasn´t interested in how the navigation worked at that time, I was interested in how the truck handled.
OP, congrats on the Ford, sounds like you got a good deal and didn´t lose much at all. Everyones needs are different, that is why they make different trucks. Hey, you don´t know till you try, right. You tried a Tacoma, you tried to make it work for you, but it just didn´t happen, thats life sometimes. I hope the Ford provides you with many years and many miles.

guys IDK, my friend from Missouri just visited with his family and they had a full sized maxed out GMC 4x4 loaded monster. He elected to drive us to the local pizza joint for dinner because he had more space. Agreed. His comment backing out of my driveway when I said how much I loved his truck was "yea but your Tacoma will kick my ass on resale and this bitch sucks to park." I witnessed parking sucks A## shortly there after. To each his or her own.

    Too many to research!
    Interesting post.

I currently have a 2015 F150 Platinum Eco. Love it but it's a bit excessive for my uses, BUT I drive 2500-3000 mi/month. I have put on 27,000 on the F150. Contemplating getting rid of it for a Limited DCSB. My biggest concerns are the following: Not enough height, lack of lumbar support.

Lastly, my F150 I pay 600/mo. Think that I'll be in the 450/mo for the Tacoma. Having a hard time leaving the amenities of the F150 for Taco BUT I'm contemplating flying more often rather than driving. I like how nimble the Taco is and the ability to park. My girls love the size of the F150.
FWIW, I had a 335i before the Platinum. If I keep the Platinum I'll probably put 200k on it. I can see the Tacoma being fine for that amount as well and then going to my daughter.

    Thoughts, comments would be appreciated.

They are nowhere near as difficult as an extended cab F150. You have to 3 point to get into a parking spot. Same with getting out of a spot. Turning radius on the Taco is much much tighter. Trust me.

Wow, 200K, my 4runner has over 330K and everything still works. It's also a trail rig. Good luck with your Ford.

The folks over on coloradofans.com beat me up pretty good when I announced I was trading in my new 2015 Colly for a 2016 Tacoma. It reminded me of a pack of wolves the way they all ripped at my arse.

You can also do a day, week, or month long lease on cars and trucks. A dealership within 50 miles of where I live recommends it.

You are so correct. It seems to me that people are not spending enough time with test driving these trucks

I got ripped for dumping my 06 there. Oh jeez, the head blew up at 70K of just commuter driving and GM told me tough shit despite their secret warranty. Fuck'em

When I test drove a Tacoma it was without a salesman. I realize that every dealership is different I would suggest that you find a dealership willing to let you test drive the truck for sereval hours
