The Waiting Game...Who's playing?

Yeah just got a real Vin 5TFSZ5AN5GX032238 my truck does exist... should have shipping dates tomorrow. Wait is almost over.

 

Ok so the dealer fixed everything they messed up and i just got home from picking up my baby! Theyre going to install remote start next week for free as an iou for everything so im ok with that. I just really wanted the truck.

 

I am only in my 30s but the older generation I was raised by, am familiar with, and go wheeling with have a saying I'm sure you've heard before: "Chrome can't get you home!" We recently installed our new MC11-XD Dual Case TacoBox into a TRD Pro 4Runner and.... meh... wasn't too excited about the Pro grill. I do like how Toyota is trying to throw back to their rugged truck roots. The problem is we only get table scraps in terms of trucks here in the States and I feel Toyota teasing us every time I see a Pro grill. As a lurker I followed a ton of different aftermarket grill options but in the end I picked up a nice black (comparatively) unimposing SR grill. Planning to install it tomorrow morning.

I've got a lot of updating to do to my thread Also a lot coming up that I don't want to fall behind with: Annual Bakersfield Land Cruiser swap meet event this Saturday then TLCA (Toyota Land Cruiser Association)'s Cruise Moab all next week then CAL4WD's annual Molina Ghost Run the following week. Back on the road I go! The plan is to be Rubicon ready for TLCA's 28th annual Rubithon in June so I got a lot to do over the next two months

Working on it......got a crappy cell right now. Waiting to replace it. Then the pics won't stop. That pice was taken from the dealer Facebook page lol

 

You have the same build as mine! It finally arrived this week after waiting 3 months. I have to wait another week while they put in leather and paint the fender flares. I did the salesman a favor(a good guy that I have bought from before) and closed on the truck today so he could get it in this month's sales count. He gave me a new Tundra as a loaner. I traded in my 2007 Tundra.

So incredibly happy. Picked up Thursday night after work.

 

Looks just like mine, except mine is a manual. Just got build confirmation Thursday. It's somewhere in the shipping process now. Hopefully have it next week.

 

My wait is almost over. VPC Date is tomorrow (5/2)! Should be off the waiting list THIS WEEK, or maybe next.

 

Mine took about 2 weeks from build date to delivery to the dealership.

Argh.,... Built 4\28 still sitting at the railyard expected delivery to dealership is 5\10-5\16 guess nothing happens on weekends so wish it had been built on a Monday. Maybe it would already be ridding the rails.

 

Mine should be at dealer tomorrow. Was hoping for Saturday but didn't happen.
