My only advice is to buy a lifetime axle... Chances are you'll be doing it again. Subaru axles are like Chevy wheel bearings, constantly going bad.

Damn, sorry it didn't work out. Construction is booming, I'm sure you'll land on your feet, lots of elevators in Boston!

That is the only reason I am not stressed out about it. I don't want to go back to construction but you are right, there is a ton of work

I know, I know, but I needed a half ton.

Not sure what 2013's look like, but to swap the one in the lady friends 2003, I pop the lower ball joint off and there is a cotter pin on the transmission side that you have to punch out. That's the tough part, and that's basically it.

As noted above, typically there is a cinch bolt on the lower ball joint that you loosen to drop the arm. Depending on the year, they may have a pin. Look at the replacement to see if there is a hole for a pin. Some years have a retaining spring pin that requires a bar between the shaft and trans case to pop off. Believe it or not, I've researched on auto zone how to 'properly' take something apart. They have an online library on repairing. You have to join and sign up for their almost hourly emails though...

Hope it works out Billy! Must be something in the air... Another friend quit his job a couple days ago. I thought about it the other day.

I don't know what everyone's skill sets are, but I got into the car business a long time ago and it's been a love hate relationship ever since. That said, it's opened up a lot of doors, you can make good money very quickly and with no experience, and dealerships are always hiring. It's a very demanding and thanksless job, but you should be able to make minimum 50k your first year and you'll never be unemployed again

Let me pick your brain on searching for an older car.

Outside of the usual suspects (AutoTrader, Cars.com, Carsforsale.com, Hemmings, CL) where does one track down a harder to find, older car?

I made the mistake of posting up a WTB on MassTuning and got a brotato reply and currently I'm not seeing anything on the usual forums. I'm not being impatient, trying to figure out if I'm missing somewhere to look.

Also I think even if Rebecca wanted to punch someone in the face, she would only be able to reach their throat!

My wife is watching it. I know nothing about the characters, so I can give you live updates? Miles Finch from Elf was talking to a dragon and stuff. Is that helpful?

Oh okay. Then I won't update. Luckily I don't know any character names or anything, so I'd be terribly useless anyways.

How old or how rare of a car? Autotrader only goes back to the mid 80's when vin numbers started being regulated. There is an Autotrader classics for older cars. I've been on the hunt for a z4m so I've been looking at all the different car sites including craigslist and eBay.

A friend of mine gets a kit of old rare cars at estate sales. I'm talking cars from the 30's and 40's. He sells a lot of his stuff through eBay

Just remember you'll always be more comfortable than me on any airline. Hell, I barely fit in the cockpit of some planes I fly...

However I have the advantage at concerts.
