Your 07 must look similar to how bad my 12 is. Wish I would had relocated the battery sooner.

OK so I think we all agree the OEM ones suck.. so other than replacing with more OEM ones that blow out, is there another option?

Oh shoot. Not good! Good thing you caught it!

Mine is located on the frame rail directly under the cab. All is well, even through wheeling and big puddles.

No not really. You should have some sort of bushing there in between to absorb compression and flex.

    Well thank ya!

OE. and when all else fails, solid metal in between the support and frame.

Isn't there an "in between" fix? The OEM ones suck, we can all agree, unless you like replacing them every 20k miles... what about an option from ES that mimics the OEM but is more durable? Is the 9.4101g the only option, I see lots of universal bushings on thier website.... sorry for stoking the fire on this thread, I had genuine problems from my OG ones on my 07, just trying get it right this time

Yeah. You can buy the softer ones which come with the OE cab mount replacements 8.4xxx but it's not worth it, they are still too soft.

The 9.4101G option IS the in between option, and just about everyone on this thread will agree with this statement.... unless you are Jeff, who doesn't agree with even himself in the mirror.

So the cracks in the rad support are occurring because the bushing is too soft, not because it fails?

Realistically the whole front end of these trucks is designed poorly. The sheet metal is weak

They occuring for a few reasons, the thin metal which is the radiator support is too soft to support the weight of the OE battery as time goes on and the bushings get softer, factor in the fact that the bushings allow too much flex and are prone to even coming out of their respective mounting spaces while you go over bumps as the battery is clamped down right above it will allow the battery to cause unwanted flexing motion on the rad support, hence, the cracks due to excessive weight, flex, and bounce.
