The air injection pump itself. It's the main pump that you see in your engine compartment next to your air cleaner box.

They are a piece of cake to install, took me 30 min start to finish. I Used part #25710-31022.I purchased mine for $470 at a local dealer they matched an online price I found plus local tax which I was fine with and could get my truck back on the road. Mine to reached a point that it couldn't be reset and could barely drive the truck.

I've ordered it all but got the pump out today and wired it up. Works fine so I'll be able to return that but I ran into a major issue. I had one of the bolts that holds the front air valve seize and in getting it out I broke the corner of the part below that it mounts to. Anyone know what the name of the part below it is? It has 2 pipes mounted to it and is removed by taking 2 nuts off posts that come up through it. Truck is up for sale after this repair.

Damn. Didn't get a picture of the unit under the valves. This is all I got before leaving my dad's.

Your new valves will come assembled as a whole, you don't separate them from the base they areally bolted to. Remove the exhaust pipes and the mounting block and it comes out as a whole unit.

Cool. So the 25710-31022 will come with both valves mounted to the plate below? It's hard to see in the part diagrams. Are they calling it a diverter valve?
Just noticed your post above about the part# being 27510-31022 but can't find that one online. Hoping I ordered the right item.

No problem, Also don't discard the old valves. It seems as if the rear one is what causes the issue but your front valve might be ok, so hang onto it for a spare. I think I'm going to mail my failed valve straight to Mike Sweers doorstep..

    Shit-
Big thanks to all of you for bringing me up to speed on these codes and shitty repair.

Seems manageable, although Toyota should take full responsibility- bastards

So I just found out my Tacoma is Canadian eh
After calling Toyota USA and they were unable to find my vin, Toyota Canada finished the job of sticking it to me with a $435 part.
They told me although there is an active tsb,(3861) secondary air injection switching valve, recognizing the codes and deficiency, their warranty will not cover a manufacturer defect.

I'm trynna wrap my head around that.
I'm failing to see how this component is not considered a manufacturers defect.

But fuck it- gotta get this fixed.
Major thanks to Andrew for posting the link to diverter valve.
    Just ordered
