What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Damn.....I have a Quicksand....and still got it wrong......

 

Got them from a semi-local wrecking yard. They definitely were not cheap but I have a few ideas about how I want to mod the headlights so the best way for me was to buy a spare set so I don't have my truck down for days at a time.

I remember someone in the last ~100 pages of this thread put in a replacement for the bed storage bin that offered more storage space than stock, and a lock. Anybody know who makes it?

 

Another question: Do you have the towing package? I'll have to check to see where my AC OF TRD was made. It seems that this was either a miscalculation with the truck specifications that feed the factory fill equipment, mis-calibrated equipment at the factory(doubt that), or the towing package which adds capacity was miscalculated. You have convinced me that this is too often to not have it checked at the dealer.

I tried wrapping it but that was a total fail. I plastic dipped it. First time I've sprayed it. Made a few mistakes but it turned out pretty good.

 

That's what the Master Tech told the service writer. Apparently the master tech just got back from some kind of Toyota training before my appointment. But apparently Toyota knows about the problem now and issued a TSB for it.

 

As of today there are no TSB's I can find for this. Do you have a reference?

 

As you can see it's going off of the word of the Master Tech at my dealer. The service writer said that the Master Tech told him about the TSB. So that's going off of the word of another guys word. Notice how I didn't say "hey guys! There's a TSB for the tranny fluid"... So no I don't have any reference for it. Just was sharing what I experienced with my 5k service as to what I've don't to my truck on the day.

 

So after much debate, I finally decided to put a sticker on my back window. Gotta represent CalGuns.net! SoCal proud! 2A supporter!
