What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

One of the two switches I have wired in always has power and the other is tapped into a blank spot on the stock fuse box and only has power when the key is in it. Will probably add a switch for the bed but looking for switches that only have a light when flipped on. Thanks for the advice though, Itll slip my mind till I read these again.

 

I'll have to look into writing into the fuse box. Did you just add a fuse? Was it pretty simple?

 

It was several years ago but it was pretty simple from what I remember. Pretty sure we added a fuse. I will look whenever I start the wiring.

haha, I just bought mine a month ago and Toyota detailed it for me before it left the lot. You should've seen it 3 weeks ago, looked brand spankin' new

 

How do you like the K&N CAI? Do you notice any difference in performance with it?

I typically hear they're not worth the money but that's usually from people who don't have superchargers

 

I love mine with 37s still do 60 mph up hills

 

Would you consider shipping it? Fastenal and greyhound will ship stuff like that pretty reasonably.

I bought mine today.

While checking it over I found a mouse nest in the (otherwise very clean) air filter. They guy did say it had been sitting all winter.

Yep I had to remove my air box at the gas station the other day, I had a squirrel or something stashing acorns and dog food in mine. It was about half full.. Lol

 

That's what I thought when I read it.

 

Wanted to use a 3 way switch and have in cab winch controls. Seen others do it but wasn't sure how. Pretty sure you tap into the controller wiring for the winch and do it thag way but wanted to see what others said
