I'm looking for feedback on the compact subwoofer boxes that can be fit under a seat. I'm considering a Kicker right now bu wanted to see if anyone here has used a unit they can recommend as well--all feedback welcome

I've got this one, it sounds awesome and you can't see it poking out from under the seat at all, install was a breeze once I found a diagram for our trucksimage.jpg

If your not in a big rush we are working on a couple different units.
    1 for below the seat,
1 for behind the rear seat
1 May even have a built in DSP, be self powered and have a 4 channel amp with it

I put one L7 kicker 15" on the back seat behind the drivers side. Although its a 4 seater when i have the box there i bought the smallest reasonable box so if i even need the space i would take it out. I have the amp behind the seat as well as a epicenter. Very good deep sounding bass too

I'm starting to think the separate sub/sub amp route may be the way to go

I was thinking of putting one of those under the seat, but for a little more I just put a sub behind the drivers side rear seat. For a prefabbed box, Rockford fosgate 10" sub and amp under the seat, and the other misc stuff it was $300. Not too shabby and it sounds great. Are you going to keep the stock HU and use a line out converter?

No I have a JVC double din unit that came with a 4 channel amp for the door speakers, an HD radio adapter, and the necessary Sirius/XM satellite adapter. I mainly want to add a sub in to pull those frequencies off the door speakers and give the bottom end more life

Oh yeah, then definitely go with a sub behind the rear seat. Here's the box I use and I love it! It's high quality and fits great.

No problem! If you do decide to go with that box, you will have to take out the storage bin, trim up the edge of the other storage bin, and hammer back the metal mounting points on the rear wall that the bin mounts too. Nothing too crazy, but more than some people want to do. Just something to consider!

Yes, because we all constantly look behind the rear seat. I know I do!

Luckily I only deal with midget hookers, so they'll fit behind the passenger side leaving plenty of room for my sub
